Tech
I'm curious how you would build these two partially invisible forcefield ideas: 1) a forcefield that is invisible, except if struck by something. Ex. Ogre sees Fireboy and thinks he'll be an easy knock-out since he looks young. However, once Ogre punches him, there's an obvious glow of heat/fire which pushes back Ogre's punch. Ogre looks again but sees Fireboy (with no forcefield obvious), who smiles at him. 2) a forcefield which is invisible part of the time, because it either shows up occasionally for a moment, or with a good PER roll can be seen slightly. Chris Goodwin
Re: Partial Invisible Forcefield Resistant Protection defined as a force field, possibly costs END. I would almost say that its default level of visibility (Inobvious) would cover both of those as special effects.
Ice9
Re: Partial Invisible Forcefield Since a fully invisible force field would be +1/2 (I don't think it makes sense to charge for both 'Source' and 'Effects' on a self-only power), then I'd put these at +1/4. EDIT: Whoops, was thinking 5E. For 6E, what Chris said.
Dr Divago
Re: Partial Invisible Forcefield mmmhhh imho is fully a special effect thing btw i "steal the thread" for something similar: i planned (long ago) a char who got a special "armor"; an indistructible silver layer; she can "activate" her silver layer and "silver coat herself". BUT silver coat are instinctively secreted every time she got an attack/damage and so it's like persistent i treat it like Armor, and the partially visibile partially invisibile thing is just a special effect your case could be similar thing (or, maybe i'm wrong??? in 5ed...)
