The Overseer
Hi all... yet another Captain Stupid question here How does the deflection power actually work? Do you just buy it and when activated it deflects all ranged attacks or do you have to actually decide to block or something? No doubt someone will point out the blindingly obvious to me again, but I do appreciate it, lol
Escafarc
Re: Deflection Think of it as adding the Ranged advantage to the Block manuever. It allows you to Block ranged attacks for someone else even if they are not standing next to you. If you want to Block ranged attacks targeted at you you just use the normal Block not Deflection. Bloodstone
Re: Deflection If you want to Block ranged attacks targeted at you you just use the normal Block not Deflection. Assuming the GM will allow it, based on the SFX involved :\
The Overseer
Re: Deflection Well, I should allow it.. I am the GM (worryingly enough) I suppose we all need to have a first time running something though!
Hyper-Man
Re: Deflection If you want a character to have the ability to block ranged attacks (but not necessarily be able to do it at range) without having to worry about GM permission on sfx you could also purchase the Deflection power and take the No Range limitation on it. That approach also gives you pricing to apply an auto-resetting Trigger advantage so that an actual 'Block' action is not necessary to use the ability.
