He came up in a large family to encouraged achievement. For Myron, that included a natural capacity to pick up languages. Whether is was French, Spanish, or Latin in school or picking up Greek and Hebrew by reading his family's Bible concordance. Wanting to go to college for linguistics but not having the money, Myron would enlisted in the U.S. Navy as language specialist where he specialized in oriental languages and was employed monitoring North Korean and Chinese transmissions around the Naval base in Japan. While in Japan he learned a great deal about Japanese culture and even mastered Karate. One day while strolling along the sea side while off duty a giant interdimensional squid-like monster the Japanese called Shokushu started causing havoc off the coast of Japan. Seeing the monster menacing a young Japanese family, Myron bravely tried to distract the monster and was captured in one of its tentacles. Before the monster had the chance to eat Myron, the Japanese super hero Takamare showed up to rescue Myron and defeat the monster. Though saved, Myron was exposed to radiation and developed radiation poisoning. The Navy decided to give Myron an honorable discharge for medical reasons but insisted on holding him until he was sufficiently recovered. Eventually he discovered he had developed the ability to turn invisible. He put together a hasty disguise and started patrolling the Japanese streets fighting crime as Mister Invisible. After being released from medical evaluation and while waiting to be shipped home, a race of Asian looking aliens called the Atagarians attacked the south Pacific causing heroes from many of the surrounding nations to band together under the New Zealander hero Emerald Defender to fight off the threat. Mister Invisible quickly volunteered. Though inexperienced, his bravery, intellect, and power made him useful for scouting and espionage missions. However, he would eventually be captured and placed under an Atagarian mind probe, but he would eventually be rescued by the Emerald Guardian and once again by Takamare. Shortly after the Atagarian Invasion, Myron was at last shipped back to the states and made a civilian. He used his G.I. Bill to go to college where he took a hiatus from heroing. Once graduated, he returned to Freedomsburg moved in with his grandmother in Hardtown and went to work for Truepenny, Inc as a Japanese liaison for the company. He also revised his Mister Invisible guise and started patrolling Hardtown. While interacting with a telepathic hero, Mister Invisible discovered he had an increase resistance to mental powers while invisible. Christopher
Re: Mister Invisible Mental Invisibility: This won't make him harder to find, but harder to affect. It might be somewhat hard to get a targetting "lock on"* with Mind Scan, but the menalist would still know he is there. You can buy Visibility for the Mental Sense Group**. This will prevent him from being targeted via most Mind Scan Powers (and any detects assingned to the Mental group). togehter with the Sight invisbility it means Mentalists won't be able to get a proper "target solution". They might still be able to use blind targetting - using non-targetting senses to guess his location, then attack using the normal penalties. (6E2 7). *Mind Scan at first Effect Level gives you the direction and if the example helps anything differentiates at least between HTH range and not HTH-Range. Second Level gives direction and an estimate of the Distance. It counts as Targetting Sense for attackign with Mental Powers. Third level gives exact location and counts as targetting sense for all attacks. **For Sense affectign powers, all that matters is the Sense Group. If Infrared Perception is defined as seeing heat (asigned to the sight group), it's blocked by Inisibility to Sight. If it's defined as smelling or hearing, it's not affected at all. Of course the adders you do or do not aquire for free affect where certain senses are usually put.
