Fear of being entangled/smothered/grabbed

Hello all,

I'm trying to figure out if there is an actual phobia concerning the fear of being grabbed/smothered/entangled. It's not quite Claustrophobia as they race in question is perfectly fine in enclosed spaces, however, they breathe through oxygen absorption through their skin and so have an inherent fear of having their "skin" covered adn thus being asphyxiated.

Any ideas?

The answer is yes. Humans are quite adapt at developing fears.

If your question is if this is common and distinctive enough to have a specific name (and be not just counted as a form of Claustrophobia) or what it's latin name is, I have no idea.

It's noted on the Wikipedia that Claustrophobia is a mxi up of "Fear of Suffocation" and "Fear of Resctirction". But you can have either alone.

Trying to feed "Fear of Resctirction" into google Translater gave no really usefull result and a little google search seems to indicate that there is no specific Latin Name.

This Wikipedia article sounds like a good fit, and gives a whole bunch of names. It's mostly concerned about being touched by other people, though. Still, yours sounds similar enough that you could at least lift one of the names, unlikely that someone will complain. Vestiphobia, the fear of garments, is another issue entirely.
