Bring out your Wonder Woman homages!

I've decided I want to create a Wonder Woman homage character for my setting. I'll probably have a "Wonder Girl" as well, but I'll need my "Wonder Woman" first. I've got Mary Marvel and Supergirl homages already, but I'm drawing a blank on who and what my WW homage should be.

So: have any of you got WW homage characters of your own, and could you describe them?

Background: Athena Temple was a wealthy socialite who met and fell in love with Dr. Perseus Shields, an archaeologist. They married and had a daughter them named Minerva. When war broke out in Europe Nazi Spies kidnapped Dr. Shields, and locked Athena and Minerva in a storage room. Attempting to break out of the room, they picked up a pair of ancient shields, and when then accidentally struck them together they gained superhuman powers. They worked together and defeated the Nazi Spies, rescuing Dr. Shields. Deciding to use their powers to defend their country, Athena and Minerva have adopted the guess of American Woman and American Girl.

Appearance: Both heroines wear similar costumes. A blue tank top with a white star on front, a red and white striped short skirt, with red boots and white bracelets, and a gold belt. Each of their Shields is round, and gold, with an Eagle on the front. Athena is 38 years old, but looks to be ten years younger, and has light brown hair and brown eyes. Minerva is 18 years old, and has dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Powers: Both Heroines have superhuman strength and while not bulletproof they are physically tough. Each can fly at 10 times the speed of sound, heal from injuries quickly, and are immortal. Their Shields are made of a mystically reinforced gold, and are indestructible.

Note: As they are Golden Age Heroines, both are vulnerable to sneak attacks.
