Christopher
Every one in a while there pops up a question about Starship Plans in this Forum. As it happens there is a new game, still in Alpha but with early Access - Space Engineers. Wich is basically "a Minecraft just for building SciFi Bases and Ships, with Newtonian physics and damge model". Using the quite advanced simetry copy and "builda line/plane" features, people made so truly gigantic, detailed ships. So much they started to get lost in thier own creations.. Ships Like the Goliath: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4f3L6uET1o Note that there is a technical weakpoint: Someone put the hangar right above the reactor/fuel storage. Let's hope ther is no accident... Or the Mongrel, Mega Destroyer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWW_5-3Lo7s Or the DeathCudes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Inp3d_CkxhE There are some quirks stil in the engine: Large Ships Turrets are not working. Small ship weapons have been added lately. You can (and often have to) place lots of engines inside the ship, since only external engines would not provide enough thrust and thier is no "humongous" engine, only small and large. You also need tons of Gyroscopes to turn really big stuff (currently the engines do not do rotation, only movent along XYZ-Axis). Just replace those with some fitting reactor/engine areas when using those ships.
Xavier Onassiss
I just might have a use for this....
CptPatriot
BTW they updated the game so thrusters now can damage light armor blocks.
