a few suggestions

Not a bad character but he seems a bit generic and lacking to my taste.

I'd focus my attention on honing his origin and focusing his disads in such a way as to define a unique and different type of light elemental. Right now he seems kinda like a throw away character in that there's nothing wrong in any specific sense but there's nothing terribly engaing either.

For a character like this I'd buy a lot more END. Right now he uses around 30(+) END/turn and recovers 10. I'd look at raising his REC or END or both.

And his PRE is abyssmal. Any self respecting villian will scare this guy spitless right off the bat or at least cause his to hesitate to the point where the fight might be over before he even gets into it. PRE is the most undervalued caharcteristic in Champions. It doesn't cost much a few points spent on it can make all the difference in the world, literally.

As for his Solar Multipower...hmmm. It seems like a lot of powers that describe pretty much the same sort of thing. I'd be tempted to go with a 8 or 10d6 EB with a Variable Advantage or at least Variable SFX to reflect his cosmic nature. To balance it you could even use a Variable Limit and maybe even just pop it into his EC. Just seems more elegant and cohesive somehow.

Beyond that he seems like a good start.

Good luck with him.

Hmm well, without an origin or back story it is hard to tell whether I'd 'like him" or not, but it seems decent. I have to agree that given the 11 EGO, and 10 PRE; the poor guy will have a rough time against his first villain presence attacks. Fortunately, Presence is fairly cheap, so nothing either a little finagling with points or saving of exp on adventures can't cure.

I notice the 10 points for your secret ID, does he have an easier time hiding his, or does he care about it less ?

Sunblade's History:

Kurt's great grandfather made a killing in the early 1900's. When the crash hit, he was able to protect a majority of his fortune. Kurt's grandfather tripled the family fortune with smart investments and real estate deals. Kurt's father first love was science. He was always comfrontable pushing the limits when came to his research. A check from his father was able to make any problem go away until Kurt's grandfather grew tired of bailing him out and left him on his own. Kurt's father had a reason for pushing the limits. It seems he a propective client who was very very interested in his work, VIPER. Viper was more and more adament about deadlines and more than once threatened Kurt's father, Stephen. Desperate for test subjects, Stephen turned to his own family. Kurt's mother died early in the experiment, but Kurt & his sister Sheri seemed to so little effect of the process. Stephen's experiments were found out and he was arrested by the police. Kurt & Sheri were placed with their grandfather. Stephen died later that year in a failed escape attempt. It was not until Kurt was sixteen and on a school camping trip when his abilities began to manifest. Awoken by the scream of his classmates, Kurt rushed from his tent to see a large bear standing on its hind legs in the middle of the camp. Without thinking, Kurt tried to distract the bear and a blinding flash enngulfed the camp. Kurt was able to help his classmates away from the now blind bear. The bear could still smell and began follow. Kurt threw his hand at the bear and bolt of heat struck the bear. Howling in pain the bear turned and fled away. Since that day, Kurt has tried to train himself to harness his abilities while keeping his abilities secret from his grandfather and sister. After his grandfather died from a heart condition, Kurt came into possesion of some of his father's journals. The pages were badly faded and some were even missing. Little could be understood of the writing in the journal, but there was one word that appeared several times, VIPER. Now 20 years old, Kurt is trying to find the meaning behind father's journal and keep an eye on his sixteen year old sister.
