Disintegrate attack

Tech

Recommended Posts

I've been thinking of how to create a variation on a disintegrate attack. I'm looking at a painful attack that has a good chance of stunning the opponent (much like NND), with a little bit of BODY loss. I'm avoiding Killing Attack because it goes against PD or ED. Rather, the villain has several powers against Power Defense and would like to have Power Defense as the determining factor if they take any BODY from the attack.

I've already thought of Killing Attack vs Power Defense, but want to avoid the Stun Multiplier lottery. Also, a KA is more likely to outright injure/kill someone and that's not the effect I'm looking at.

Suggestions?

That's what Blast is for. Just build a blast against Power Defense by using AVAD, Does BODY. The limited BODY loss can be a +0 Advantage (Possibly A Limitation), Does 1/2 BODY.

It's been awhile since I used AVAD (with addition of Does BODY). Even experienced players need a reminder. Thanks.

It's not much of a stun multiplier lottery if you buy the stun multiplier up to +8 or better.  And if you keep it at 1d6 KA vs PD with penetrating using standard effect (for good measure to ensure -some- body is done on all but impenetrable defenses), you end up achieving the same sort of results...
