  1. Re: Scorpius Wow drrushing, you really knocked my socks off with this one. I LOVE it. the art is clean and crisp, the shading is excelent, and the colors work so well together. As for that other thread, I agree that there is no need for it, and that since this thread is so well established (hell 70+ pgs) and tons of people subscribed to it, that here would be a better place for feedback, when asked for. Granted there are alot of Lookie Loos, and lurkers here and you don't always get an answer to a ask for Opinion, but it's still better than having to keep track of two threads. (Not to mention that the other thread, no matter how it turned out, was started as a personal dig against me) Keep up the Great work (and I mean ALL of those who have been posting) and keep Posting your Pics. We'll keep this thread near the top WC
  2. I agree, Please Stop (OK I did vote in the Girl fight one, but I love a good girl fight) But it's the only one I even looked at. WC
  3. Re: Aquans Daaammn Mangog you SO Rock at coloring. This looks awsome Did you use Photoshop? and if so please let me now how your shading, I'd love to learn how you do it. WC
  4. Re: character images I really like your work. The Polaris and Dragon Pics especialy (the other one is a bit too dark to see clearly) but I really dig your shading tecnique, that's one of the things I wish I had a better handel on. Keep up the good work and wecome to the thread. WC
  5. Phoebus (2nd Pic) Hello All, I'm back with a 2nd Pic of Phoebus. Like I said before he's been around for some time in my Campaign world, and hence I have two versions of his Picture. Notice the Costume hasn't changed I drew this one 1st, with him in flight/action because he was an energy Projector. I just thought that the other one better showed his personality (as a guy who whished he was a Brick) I drew both of these pics back in the early 90s (Can't remember excatly when, and that's why I date them now :-)) So Enjoy Phoebus, the Living Solar Battery WC
  6. Phoebus Here is a Character that I've had around for quite along time in my campaign world. Originaly created by a buddy of mine back in the Corps, Bob Birch. Pheobus has stuck around as an NPC in basicly the same form since 89. Phoebus is a mutant Energy Projector (Duh) with Solar based Powers (again Duh) who whishes he had been a Brick. In his secret ID he's your run of the mill Blue Color Construction worker from Pensivailnia, moved to Cali for the good weather and work. If he could he'd trade in his Solar powers for some super strength, but he can't so he makes due. His powers all derive from his being in the sun, ans colectind Solar Energy. At night he can use his power just fine, he just can't recover any END. Not really one to join a team (in this incarnation) Phoebus is a solo hero in LA, and has agreed to be a reserve member of Avantguard in return for them paying for his daughter (another mutant) to attend The Ravenswood Academy. WC
  7. Yeah he is one of Fred Gorhams (I thought I posted that??). He's Contrast from 4th ed book "Enemies for Hire" except I added Tonfa WC
  8. Re: Re: Contrast Your right, I was meaning to call them that, just was lookign at somehtign else at the time and got confused... thanx for keeping me honest :-), and Glad you like the pic. The BG was somethign I found online, and thought would fit with the pic. WC
  9. Sparrowhawk (Last one for today) She was also from the 4the Book 'Enemies for Hire', but in that book she was called Ultraviolet Sparrowhawk. Originaly drawn by Greg Smith. I kept her prety much the same but ditched the 'Ultraviolet' part and the Orgin. I made her a man-beast hybred from the resurfaced lab of Dr Moreau. The PCs met her in the Arena (an Idea I had in my campaigns from way back, and that 5th Ed aded to the CU :-)) and her apperance was to be a forbodign of a future encounter with Man-animals. WC
  10. Contrast This is Contrast from the 4th ed book 'Enemies for Hire'. The art is by Fredd Gorham. The Text said he fought with Escirma sticks, but the pic didn't have em so I added them. I beefed up his powerd a bit to fit my campaign, and he still got taken out by a lucky hit. I hope to bring him back at a latter date. WC
  11. Morningstar Another one from CKC, and Chriss Stevens as well. This one too was Greyscale, and took a bit more work since it wasn't all the same color. but with just a few more layers, and a bit of effort I was able to get him looking decent. WC PS If I'm mistaken about whoes art this is please let me know so I can give proper redit. :-)
  12. Ankylosaur Here is a simple coloring of Ankylosaur from CKC, as Drawn by Chris Stevens (I believe). Since it was all in Grey scale it make coloring very hard, and I was using Ankylosaur as a test to see what I could do and he came out real cool with very little effort. WC
  13. Tombstone Kid And here is the Tombstone Kid (Well my rendition of him) This isn't my best work at coloring with Photoshop, it was back in the days when I was just learning the proper ways to color, and use layers (I love Layers) maybe one day I'll recolor him. WC
  14. Old Chapions Pics I've Colored OK Daz here are a few, This one is El Muerto Obscuro (I can never say this on the 1st try you know) Of the Asesinos form the BBB. My take on this team was that they were 'open' enough to interpretation that they could be played ranging from comedy to deadly serious. I choice to make them a scarry group. In doing so I ditched the Main's Clunky armor and rebuilt him a respectable suit of Powerd Armor (I mean they guys do live on an island with Prof Muerte) and the Re-drew the Pic (not my best work ) and then also ditched that silly pic of The Tombstone Kid, and turned him into a real Zombie (you know takes no stun) I can tell you one of my players is Still itchin to get back at this guy. OK enough rambling... the Pics And remember I didn't draw this Pat Zircher did, and I'd like to give this guy Credit, because I LOVE his work. WC
  15. Re: Hey Wildcat... WOW You noticed the Runes I colored this in Photoshop, and I made the glow effects by using a graidient fill, on a layer over the area I wanted to glow, then reduced the Opacity(SP?) to about 65-75%. The Runes were made with a fill pattern, (I just found the runes I wanted and then created a pattern out of them) Then I filled just the area of the outer coat, while the inside of the coat was filled with a starfield pattern, of course all on their own layer too. And then to make them stand out but still be subtle I made the Runes a dark red. Coloring in Photoshop is all about the Layers... I think this pic had 8-9. I love Layers WC
  16. Re: Re: Mechanon Thanx Daz I've done a few of them, but not many. As I use them in my game I useualy color them in and as I do I will post them. :-) WC
  17. A New Pic Hello All, Today I got off my lazzy @$$ and actualy Drew, and colored a new Pic. This One is of Tempest, my Current gamming group's Mage. I drew a Pic for him long ago that just nave came out right, and so I just ditched it, but he's the only player who doesn't have a Pic... One player had 3 and he's still got none, So I felt bad... Well any way he just got a new costume/Look and I was inspired... so with no further wasting of time... Tempest WC PS: Sorry it took so Long Eric :-)
  18. Re: ... Hey Mags, Hows this... Just sa few min in Photoshop and there you go. Named it as "templatewoman8.jpg" following your previous posts. WC
  19. Re:Templates Wow Mags Great job, I think I'll be able to use them all. Good work on both the ones you drew, and the ones you found, and turned into templates. I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates your hard work. WC
  20. Re: Re: Thanks... Oh yeah I love Templates... nice and clean, always helpful with Poses. I've already used 2 that you posted before. (See Starspangled Hero & Crimebusterback on Pg54 & 55) I used the Templates as poses, didn't actualy Draw on them, but they helped me tremendously for proportions, and stance. I'd do Templates myself, but with the hard time I have just drawing the characters in my game I just don't have the time. So if you already have some... Post away. WC
  21. VALOR Mags I Really like the team Pic, and I don't think the Arangemnt is all that bad. I have a HUGE problem with drawign multiple characters at the same time, and havign them come out proportionaly right... one either ends up too big or small. So I just draw them alone, then Photoshop them together, your far braver than I to attempt a team poster. Good work WC
  22. Mechanon Here's Mechanon taken from the 5th ed Champions book, and colored with Photoshop. I tried to get as good at as the one we all see off to the side there . <----- Hope you Like it. WC PS: Kinda fel cheesey not posting Original Art... I need to get back to drawing, not just coloring
  23. Busy Beavers Wow you guys have been bussy. I can't seem to find enough time fopr drawing or coloring lately. Between Game, Kids, and other RL stuff I can't get enough time for artistic pursuits. Anyway... Someone mentioned that they would like me to keep coloring old Champions characters. Well I have a few that I've done. 1st off are the members of Hightech Enemies Destruction Co. I did then seperatly in Photoshop, then put them together for a team pic. (I have each of them seperatly if anyone wants) I'd like to give credit to Greg Smith for the Outstanding Pics from that Book (not just the Dest Co but all of em) And I hope he doesn't mind my colring these guys in. WC Next: 5th ed Mechanon
