There's some real awesome DC goodness here. Thanks!

Re: Shameless Plug: A Star Trek Resource
I love running Herotrek. It works really well and adventures just seem to flow out of my mind like... some kind of syrup. It's always appreciated by the players. Great resources Baloo! Reppage.

Re: Classic Comic Book Characters
Liking the Nightwing take.
hehe.. nightarang...
This got me thinking that this point level would work amazingly for the Teen Titans.

Add tons of Star Wars batlemaps and tiles including vehicleshttp://the-holocron.com/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=36&func=select&id=1
Steamteck, you're my hero!
I'm going to buy Spaceworks on Friday. I'm looking forward to customizing it for my own campaign. It'd work well with Star Wars minis too.

Zombies with no comeliness?
I don't know..

Re: Are these old sourcebooks worth buying?
I love my copy of Golden Age. It always brings back warm and fuzzy memories when I look at it. I really learned a lot from Coriolis Effect and Circle and M.E.T.E.
Anyone know what happened to Mike Williams? He did the cover of Champions 2, the book my mom confiscated when I was reading it at a restaurant in 1982. The cover was kind of racy.. or the danger room was super cold.

Re: Miniature Selection: Mechs and Mecha
Terribly sorry, I seem to have missed the small scale focus of your original post.
If you want to try your hand at papercraft, this is an awesome site. I love these minis, they are so cute.

Dream Pod 9 works pretty well too..

If you want some cheaper mechs for 28mm minis, try World Works Games, specifically the Platform Command series.
I am a real fan of the World Works Firstlight series.. saving my nickels and dimes, I tell you. Ah hell, I think I'm just going to buy it on payday anyway.

Re: Miniature Selection: Mechs and Mecha
I'm a big fan of AT-43 for minis, but not for gameplay. I just don't like unit-based games.

I'm going to be using them for my Space Hero / Traveller campaign this winter.

Re: Classic Comic Book Characters
Wooo... I'm liking these write ups. I don't really know the Marvel characters as much, but each of them presents ideas for original characters. I'm going to have to run a DCZ campaign soon. I was thinking of a "sidekick" campaign. Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, Speedy, Spoiler... Not really a Teen Titan situation, Dark and gritty Gotham.

Re: Classic Comic Book Characters
Hey, any good pictures of Wildfire out there? I know next to nothing about this character.
All I really found was this:

Re: Superhero Images
Bloodcat is a fun character. She's sort of creepy though as she is a variant on a vampire. She needs to taste the blood of someone to emulate their powers with a mimic pool.

Re: Non Powered Superhero Campaign
I was thinking of organizing them against a common enemy like in Mystery Men. Something like that. I was working on a few villain designs and I'll post them in the next week.

Re: Classic Comic Book Characters
Woo.. well, Bat Fiends Harley and Mr. J., of course, but it'd be nice to see your take on Gorilla Grodd or Poison Ivy... maybe Batzarro? Bat Mite? Parasite? Gentleman Ghost?
Black Mask?
Nocturna?

Re: Non Powered Superhero Campaign
Oh yeah.. Lucadors
http://www.frompartsunknown.net/
That's a WHOLE other genre.
-
Re: Non Powered Superhero Campaign
Yeah, Lucadors would be a cool thing to include in a multi-cultural city like Toronto. Not a HUGE Spanish-speaking community, but there non-the-less.
Most of the people not born in Canada go to Toronto to live. (40%)
Some interesting stats here:

Re: Non Powered Superhero Campaign
Yeah, I loved the Avengers. They even filmed some New Avengers episodes in Toronto. It was even supposed to be Toronto too. It was kind of exciting as a Canadian in the 70s.
That's a really good suggestion, thanks..I'm going to have to spread some rep around. I really liked the tkdguy link too. Great Golden Age resource!
You might want to look into the original Avengers for some ideas. Not the superteam, the English TV series which predates it and is not in fact linked to it by anything other than coincidence. They're basically secret agents but they often act like superheroes and foil villainesque plots. The series is pretty hoky now but might yield up some interesting ideas. Or at least it could provide a template for a British hero to perform a cameo or a British adventure.

Re: Traveller Hero
I just bought a mess of Traveller Hero material and I must say thanks to everyone involved in the project. What a blast from the past. Although I won't be using the Traveller setting per se, it's nice to have all that material at my fingertips. Way to go!

Re: Mac compatible?
Well, I am absolutely useless at computer games anyway. I like the Sims 2 series. Maybe 10 years ago I'd have been more excited about it. Still prefer pen and paper tabletop gaming in the long run, but I think this is an exciting project for Superhero gaming enough to make sure I tell people about it and get them thinking about it.

Re: Superhero Images
Minerva's cape is just a cape, but when she jumps it shows an M shape, also a symbol of the secret society that helps her.

Re: New pic, sort of...
Here's a quick pic' date=' from something I did I think a while back, a reimagining anyway...simple pencil drawing w/ colored pencil for detail. This is Freedom...a Martial Artist/Street Fighter Ryo/Ken type, with a Captain America bent...[/quote']I love Freedom's shoes! I think they'd actually sell!

Re: Superhero Images
Minerva is a Dark Knight type in Golgoth, a fairly dark city in my campaign. She is the third Minerva of the 20th Century. She is supported by an ancient secret society of women who support the Minerva Project and have been supporting Minervas for generations.
The current Minerva is a very inexperienced University student who has replaced the second Minerva who kind of went bad and turned against her mentor. This Minerva is very different than the "character" of past Minervas. She's much more social and cooperative, much to the frustration of her mentor who is an old and crusty lady with an attitude.

Re: Custom Figures Images
I'm too cheap to buy foamcore, I have been using corrugated cardboard. I cut the cardboard so it matches up inside and is hidden by the cardstock building image.
I use a gluestick to stick it. I find spray fixative just peels off or messes up the image.
