    Height: 1.80 m Hair: Copper
    Weight: 90.00 kg Eyes: Ruby
Appearance: Zedley is composed of cast-off armor, clockwork and copper wire. Visible gears operated by a tiny magical steam engine in his chest make him look even more alien, and the flexing hoses give him an organic look he might otherwise miss. Despite all that, he is a work of art. Lonely to be sure, but a work of art.Personality: Zedley's bejewelled eyes do not show the ache in his mechanical heart, nor does escaping steam catch the ear the way a human sigh might. Instead, he must show his emotion only verbally or through very exagerated body language. He wants to be useful, and will most likely attach himself to an adventuring party as a trap disarmer or "george." Quote:"All I am, is what I appear to be. A random collection of parts, working together to bring a little beauty into the world. Little less or more than you, I tend to think."Background: Zedley was created a few years ago as a laboratory assistant for Rassa Dartoon. Rassa's father had wanted an assistant who could learn fast and operate machinery. What they got was a very sentisive machine who took to tinkering while Rassa and her dad slept, who taught himself how to make watches, steam engines and even magically-alive beings like himself. Old Dartoon died last year, and the girl went to college at the Grol Engineer's School. He was heartbroken at her decision to leave him behind. Now he sits on a street corner repairing watches for pocket change, hoping to collect enough cash to start up his own shop. Powers/Tactics: His many immunities and flair for machinery make Zedley a good rogue, while his morose nature will cause PCs to use him to spring traps. He's not too awful in a fight, though listening to him compain about all the blood and screaming afterward might get a bit tiresome. Campaign Use: Zedley makes a terrific piccaresque encounter, as few gaming groups could resist the lure of a lonely machine, tinkering away on a filthy street corner, puffing our sad whistles of steam to puncuate the desperation in his custom made heart.
  2. Re: Bioroids and Battlesuits...

Traditionally, a bioroid is an artificial life form. Often made up of both human and animal DNA. My versions will be human, animal and "New" DNA made up to serve specific purposes. Such as made-to-order psionics.

  3. I have this idea inspired by DAZ.com... a bioroid designed to work with a variety of military hardware.

    For example:

Series Lares Loci is able to psionically connect with local defensive computer systems, operate home security and is basically the perfect "Guardian bioroid."

Series Minerva is a real renaisance woman. A female-only bioroid series designed to interface with electronics of all kinds via hyper-stimulation of the premotor cortex with superluminal tachyonic fields (or whatever) they can process information far faster than normal humans. They wear specialized computers designed to resemble the latest fashions, on Earth and Centauri, they are the latest fashions.

Would limitations apply to the Bioroid or the equipment? Does it matter? How to simulate this?

  4. Re: My Martial Arts Champions Game...

Write ups... Kinda hard, as all I've had are "This Is What I Will Play" -type discussion from the players. I think the only only really nailed down is the big Ogre-like guy in back. I'll see if I can get a few to actually work on them... Star Hero is still going strong right now...

  5. Re: columbia!

Are your available add-ons superheroic/science fiction specific?

They are mostly Manga/Anine stuff... since that's my main art style. I can't stand to watch anime or read manga any longer... but I love the art style... I do have HeroSet for the Freak, tho... tell me what ya want, and I'll fake it.

  6. Re: New Character Render - Heroine or...?

    I love the Magician.

Little Miss Folgiore is a bit underage looking for my tatses to have such a skimpy uniform. I must insist on Larger shorts at least.

    I, too, love the Magician...

As to Balena, she looks that way cuz that's how Anime works... 35 yr old women look 15... and so do the guys... For Example check out this render, "Where there's Smoke, there's Fire..."

Bleys is always upstaging and getting in Myst's way. He'd rather blow a door off the hinges than to pick the lock or let Myst desol get them in. And he takes all the reporter's questions and generally makes a show of everything.

  7. Re: columbia!

    The panties are right out.

One possible peep through solution: does it let you fiddle with fabric thickness? What if it was more of a snug rubber suit, say a quarter of an inch thick, than a spandex one?

    Do you do requests?

There are some solutions.. I'm just a little bit lazy... and yeah... I do requests... I'm a little back logged... I got Yogzilla's stuff that's slowly coming together, and I seem to think I might have more work that can be done on Columbia... and I'm working on some male supers for myself... and someone wanted the whole darn CHAMPIONS team... that might be tricky...

  8. Re: New Character Render - Heroine or...?

If you don't mind me asking a few questions, what Figure are you using in addition to just using the Studio?

The little lady is Aiko3. I also have Victoria3, Michael3, The Freak, The Girl... a dragon, a wyvern, some dinosauria, and Aiko3's boyfriend, Hiro3. The reason I use Aiko so much is that most of my investment is in her gear and clothes. If I had V3 & M3's bodysuits, I'd do more "traditional" renders, but I think using Aiko & Hiro for Champions gives me a unique style. Not many American artists do Manga styled stuff... (What... like Adam Warren? I can't name another...)

How do you like DAZ|Studio? Have you ever used Poser? If you have used Poser do you find DAZ|Studio easier to use?

I love D|S... I have never tried Poser, and probably won't ... D|S and Photoshop 5.0.2 seem fine... D|S is free... why change?

  9. Balena... The Italian Mistress of Lightning...

Um... Armor? Energy Blast... High COM... and fog... lots of fog... Oh... and I think the hair counts as a 50 pt DF. You have to do Monica Belucci when playing her as an NPC... "Kees Mee..."

Just a reminder... All of my Hero Boards pics are public domain.. I won't freak if I see you at Gencon (Here in Indy this August) with Balena on a t-shirt...

  10. Re: columbia!

What is Rep and why should I have it? I'm assuming it's some kind of "unit of coolness" but I fail to see why I should have it... Can I trade it for Anime? Maybe turn it in to Steve for Free HERO Stuff? In any case, thank you for the accolades, but I do this for fun!

  11. Re: Something we should all look into..

I have some artistic talent. However, DAZ is more akin to photography than it is to painting or anything else. The only time art talent in the convential sense enters the picture is in Paintshop when re-texturing your objects. See my thread on Columbia for an example of retexturing.

  12. Re: columbia!

ignoring the texture problems... including the "pop thru" on her knee... compare these... Pop thru is a problem with tight-fitting clothing items like this. Some are funnier than others. Proof of age is required before viewing... :P

  13. Here's two pix of Columbia for my buddy Mike! The purpose of posting this in two peices is obvious, one shows off her figure better. Female bricks in real life have smaller breasts unless they've invested in some elective surgery. Before I finalize the image, am I bowing to the industry and stereotyping too much? Or do... they... make her look powerful and stuff?

And I gotta fix the texture on her right calf... the stripes don't match up.

  14. Re: Critique and Help...

I have a couple of characters I would really like to get into Daz and I hope I can get up to your level someday. BTW' date=' how long have you been using it?[/quote']

Thank you for the compliment. I've been into DAZ for about 3 months, maybe...

  15. Re: Critique and Help...

Nice render' date=' btw. I'm stil trying to get accessories and clothing to associate and go where they're supposed to be.[/quote']

Are you using Poser or DAZ|Studio? If you've got D|S, I'll help where I can... I don't know Poser all that well...

Thanks for the advice... when my Champs game starts back up (we're playing Star HERO atm...) she'll be a welcome NPC for the PCs to play off of.

  16. Here's Cherub, the basic concept, anyway...

I got a new texture "Ayame" and decided to re-do the render, and I beleive someone wanted to start seeing stats for all this pics...

Thoughts: Zen Riflery and the Cyber-wings... shooting feathers? Too Silly? Too "Angel After Whathisname Got To Him?"

OIF - Cyber-wings Can they be removed? How about surgically"

    Her skillset? Too Batman-like?

  17. Re: Jeffie's Back Online...

Ya know... that Fox chick idea is so neat, that DAZ has one of it's own... a set I do not yet possess...

    http://www.daz3d.com/shop.php?op=itemdetails&item=3055

But as soon as I have it... I'll make some custom stuff for it... ;)

Most of my work consists of texturing the objects I buy from DAZ. Anyone caring to compare is welcome to do so, obviously. I'd say that working with DAZ or Poser is a bit like photography... but you get to make up the 1000 words, right?

Some of it is just outright rendering DAZ stuff straight, like Black Dragon up there. None of that one is me except the story. I'd like to encourage others to try it, but as I've said, hey... I've already spent the money, you folks just tell me what to do with it.

I'm thinking of doing a Ninja HERO webpage with DAZ art... any interest?

  18. Re: Jeffie's Back Online...

Nancy Walker was an average student. Focusing her anger over her parents divorce into her martial arts training, she became a powerful fighter. One night, she followed a mysterious stranger into an old warehouse. There the stranger addressed a group of hooded minions. He would, he claimed, bestow the power of the Black Dragon on a "worthy recipient." A young man stepped forward, claiming the right to have the ritual performed on him. The old man agreed and summoned the Black Dragon. From her vantage point, Nancy heard the dragon speak... She heard him speak of worthiness and honor and saw the young man's smirking overconfidence. He awaited the Dragon's gift.

When the ritual was over, the young man felt no different, but Nancy was changed... and powerful...
