  1. Re: suppress

I like Suppress for Characteristics for certain powers. My mentalist-light has a Suppress for PRE and INT, to inspire cowering terror or mindlessness. My mage uses Suppress and Succor with timed charges to hasten, wither, slow, or strengthen people.

From a GM standpoint - not BODY. That's not cool.

  2. Re: Musings on Random Musings

I've found a supplier for equipment that should work for the female version, if anyone's interested PM me for a link (it's an adult site so I won't post it).

My business partner wants to begin practicing with me. I'm probably gonna get her one for Yule

Their stage act, "The tug of war between the sexes" was a sight to behold, the wonder of the whole show, until the fateful day when she sneezed.

  3. Re: Musings on Random Musings

And no, I haven't mentioned the whole trailer hitch thing yet.

Haven't quite figured out how to broach the subject, tho if she takes a look at Murray the Head and his lifting harness she might wonder.

For gods' sake don't broach the subject at all! That trick is good any time, and you can wait until you find her comfort level before you show her what you spent your 5 AP on. Preserve a little mystery.

All that aside - get back in the saddle, date that woman.

*Reach* out. Take a *chance*. Get *hurt* even. But play as well as you can. Go team, go! Give me an L. Give me an I. Give me a V. Give me an E. L-I-V-E. LIVE!

Otherwise, you got nothing to talk about in the locker room.

The really cute accordionist called! :celebrate

She's coming over tomorrow to work on a dickens faire costume

    and I'm totally freaking out.

    :help:

Does she know you can use your junk for a trailer hitch? if so, great, and if not, great. Either way you're cool, but don't go changing that status quo just yet, whichever it might be. Take her to the faire. Get the hot cider. It's all cool - your last girl was an astonishing hottie (if you like, I can actually get some salt for the wound...), so you know you can achieve that level of dating hotness. Go with your inbridled bohemian masculine artiness and you'll do fine.

We all know you can do it. You have the might of dozens of strangers in your corner.

This is more of a pep talk than actual advice. Did you want advice? Don't have the Who's "squeezebox" on the radio when she comes over. Too obvious.

EDIT: I clicked the link - damn but she is a hottie.

Lemming' date=' listen! And understand! That black widow is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.[/quote']

These words he speaks are true!

    We're all humanary stew,

If we don't pledge allegiance to

    The Black Widow!

  6. Re: Building an "Inflict Pleasure" power

Make it a BOECV Entangle. Writhing in pleasure is just a special effect. I've done the same for hysterical laughter. You could use it for any damn thing that causes that sort of effect. Compulsive tapdancing and farting if you like. Whatever. The effect is Entanglement. The Special Effect is yours to play with.

  7. Re: Musings on Random Musings

Tomorrow night is Samhain, I'm leading ritual, and I don't have one prepared.

    Now THAT's scary.

    Lucius Alexander

Going to Halloween as a man on a palindromedary

You'll never get there on a Palindromedary. They can never come or go, but only both at once. If you find room, add a word for Orion Kaspar, who will be arriving tomorrow or the day after.

  8. Re: Martial Arts versus Powers with Martial Arts SFX?

There are other powers that can mimic (and even improve upon) martial maneuvers. A Suppress Dex (no range, requires a skill roll) could be used to reflect a style tricky enough that it keeps opponents off balance, and effectively reduces the opposition's SPD, OCV, and DCV. An Entangle, (no range, one limb only, BOECV, Mental power based on CON) can be very effective for temporarily disabling a limb with a nerve strike.

  9. Re: WWYCD: The Nightmare on Hero Street

Punchline is scarier than The Nightmare, which is a good thing. He would suppress The Nightmare's PRE until it was -30, and chase him down while he screams like a girl. He'd certainly try his BOECV entangle, and assuming that worked, he could find out whose nightmare it really was, after all.

In short: Kick his ass and take his wallet dreamside, then find him meatside and repeat same.

The Black Cat: Fights hard, dies anyway, I suspect. His curse might help him, but that's only a maybe. His luck might help him, but that's only a maybe, too.

  10. Re: Weapon From Anything???

Well, the trouble is, that is Transform, albeit a limited sort of one.

What would happen if he dropped the trash can lid? Would it stay a sword? If not, then I don't see a problem - what you have there is a nifty special effect. If so, then it looks like Transform to me, since the object is ... well, transformed.
