  1. Its something to think about and work out over the weekend- what sorts of powers I would allow inside a VPP or other framework vis a vis cosmic awareness. Remember, there are actually different power levels of this "ultimate sensory power"- if it were infallible and persistent, Marvell woulda known he had cancer. I think even for a normal 350-pointer, there are some elements that could go into a MP or EC that would reflect a relatively minor cosmic awareness; lightning reflexes, spatial awareness, some various analyzes, danger sense, Defense Maneuver I-IV, some Cramming perhaps, a couple of DCV levels, a naked advantage along the lines of (+2) Special: adds up to 10 points of sensory enhancements to Sight Sense Group, Variable; Active Points/Real Points = 30. You could do all this and not screw up your campaign to any extent.

  2. I think in this case the police and the GLs can differ. It's up to you how the local customs of this planet go, therefore up to you whether a GL would be allowed to do this and if not, what sanctions should be enforced against him by the little blue people.

  3. It's a magic ring. It does whatever you say it does (as GM). Each GL has exhibited a number of different superpowers that the others' have not, so you're well within your rights to restrict the ring any way you like.

Remember- just because Hal Jordan, the Greatest GL of All Time, can do something, doesn't mean your PC GL has to be able to do it.

  4. I was playing a 180-point super in a 250 point game a few years back. He was NCM and really well within normal human range. He had a neat ray gun, some basic gymnastic and deduction skills, a parachute built in to his costume, and 10 levels with Dive for Cover. Never a combat monster by any means, but he did outlive several of his teammates.

  5. wow, you've realy done a great job of getting this guy together. The differences between this write-up and your original one are substantial, without ruining the flavor at all. Well done!

My only concern is one I mentioned up front to, and that's his 29 DEX. There's nothing wrong with it per se, I just don't like it in terms of the flavor of an archer. I would much rather see about DEX 20-23 with skill levels and perhaps lightning reflexes either overall or specifically for shooting.

  6. Good! It's settled. Mark, don't even bother with your sword woman idea, this is much cooler. Yep, tricked out golf cart, and if you want, you can make her a lush too. That should be fun. And make her a villain. And give her bad teeth and a funny eyeball like Marty Feldman.

  7. By building in all the abilities of the two minds into the "base" character (Base? it's just one character), you can simulate either one being smarter. Or dumber. As far as one mind "jarring" the other awake, build in extra Ego or Mental Defense, or extra SPD, useable only to perform breakout rolls, or whatever.

Come to think of it, it might be cheaper to build in the second personality as an AI.
