It looks like there is a decent chance that we may be able to swing a new house, though in a community a little further out than we currently live in.     there is this loverly little condo just over from where we are now... we can afford the payments on the load it would take to get it... we just can't get the loan...

    my cats still seem to like my

    my hubby still loves me

    my daughter thinks it's fricking cool that I tell people the reason I don't play CoH is because "I have better things to do"

    I have a good job with great pay and benefits, and likely to get a promotion soon

    we're not homeless, destitute or living on welfare

    I'm alive, in good health and still able to be physically active..

     

    sorry.. sometime when I get depressed it helps if I stop and count my blessings....

    yes, I know and I've taken all of that into accoutn as well.. .HOA, Insurance, utilities, additional taxes, repairs that inevitably come up...all those wonderful expenses that go into owning a house we can manage... we just can't convince anyone of that..

    kinda.. they dangle it in front of your face, say that you can have once you've spent two years paying twice what you can afford just so you can have a down payment... I'm trying desparately to get us out of this apartment... all the lenders I've talked to are willing to do a "lease to own" thing, but the payments are too high... whereas, if they would just lend us the money, the payments are right where we can afford them...
