  1. THE RAVEN (Batman homage) RAVEN Duncan Summers was born into wealth and privilege his parents were among the wealthiest families of Freedom city. He wanted for nothing and he felt his life was perfect. He decided he would bring the Harlequin to justice himself and went on a ten year mission to train his body and mind to make himself capable. During this time he came under the wing of the two crime fighters he now considers his mentors the Liberty League members Midnight and the Pugilist. When he felt he was ready Summers created the costumed identity of the Raven and did indeed bring the Black Harlequin to justice although since that first encounter the Harlequin has proved to be his ultimate nemesis among his now extensive rogues gallery. Summers soon attracted other young crime fighters such as Nighthawk, Kestrel, Condor, Hummingbird and others and started a tradition of helping young heroes in their early careers which has continued in his extensive backing of the Claremont academy and the Next-Gen. 15. I am starting a new campaign and had a real quandary what to do. I wanted to use the established DC/Marvel universes as a combination, but I didn't want all the headaches that go along with it like continuity and arguments over characters stats, actions etc. So I decided i would use the characters but just change the names and mix the two universes as much as possible. For the new names i thought it would be cool to use names used by superhero rpg projects already but use the original marvel/dc character for the stats. I Have posted lots of this info on the M&M boards, but am currently back to using Hero for all my campaigns so thought I would post it here as well. More for my own purposes, I'm just going to recap characters I've done so far and what teams they belong to. 16. The Superman Homage Ok lets start of big, the Superman homage of this universe. The concepts you come up with should include the following. 1. One of the most powerful if not THE most powerful hero of this universe, whatever stat level we set him at hes the benchmark for everyone else. 2. His basic powerset should be the same, Strength, Toughness, A blast, Flight, Some super senses. 3. The rest of his power set is much more optional such as super speed. 4. He should be an alien or outsider on Earth. 5. He should have his own rogues gallery (dont get specific with them though as they will be fleshed out). 6. He should lead the greatest super hero team. Maybe not on earth but maybe more cosmic in scale? 7. He should have some VERY definate weakness or more than one. 8. A good cast of supporting characters that you can flesh out eg Lois, Ma and Pa, Jimmy etc. rgds torch
  17. Ok guys, Lets start a fun ongoing project, here's the concept a combined DC/Marvel/Plus any other Genre influences universe with the serial numbers filed off!. Lets come up with a workable combined universe with all our favourite characters, teams, places and concepts intact but with each thing given just so slight a twist, but with them easily recognised as the homage to the character they are. Lets try and build a logical combined universe with as many links between the two as possible in the characters histories and back stories. where the two universe's merge strip out any unneeded elements and amke it logical but most of all playable as a superhero universe and fun!. I will post questions about characters and concepts and its up to the board members to come up with cool concepts for the combined uni then we will move on once we have picked our favourites and written up the character.
  18. Men in Black Name given to the goverment agents who always seem to turn up at the sites of strange cases and often interview witnesses. This could apply to both black book agents, other goverment agencies such as the CIA or NSA or even our own Aegis agents. However there is a stream of sightings of very large physically imposing and strong agents who seem to be very threatening even often violent in their behaviour, they also seem to speak very rarely. These do not match the profiles of our own agents so much be investigated further.
  19. Mecha Thought to be closely associated with the Atlanteans, this life form seems to be based entirely on some kind of machine or computer based sentient life. Known to be extremely powerful and dangerous to confront Mecha are rarely seen or encountered by Aegis. Thought originally to be a creation or controlled by the Atlanteans this has in recent years been put into question as rare cases have seen what looked like Atlanteans and Mecha in open conflict. Most often encountered as very average, nondescript humans often with grey hair or eyes, Mecha are often cold and seemingly unemotional.
  20. MacPherson Clan Strange large Virginian backwoods family of murdering cannibals who have passed into urban legend over the last few years. Thought to be responsible for as many as a hundred deaths over the last twenty years the MacPherson Clan has become an almost mythic boogie tale in urban legend. It has only recently came to light that many members of the clan such as Ma, Bull and Crazy Joe are in fact powerful Incarnates. The clan has not been captured by either Aegis or the authorities and have in fact now become a mobile swathe of death and destruction through America's midwest.
  21. Impants Coral Strange devices, thought to be psychic in nature that are found on many abduction victims. The implants seem to be made from living coral, although they are often cased in very strong metallic alloys. Thoguht to be used for reasons unknown by the Greys and the Black book. Implants are often found on places in teh body it would be dangerous to extract them from such as within bones, inside the brain or nasal cavity, around the heart etc. Thoguht to be psychic devices of different kinds that can be used by psychics to track the abducted for reasons unknown.
  22. Hawks The Cell's main Aegis contact. Hawks has been with the cell from their very first mission. He has proved himself a reliable and valued ally but has been highly ruthless in his protection of Aegis intrests. An imposing impressive man, Hawks may be a member of Aegis prime.
  23. Griffith Aegis member in control of both Florida and the Caribbean area. A small nondescript man able to melt into the background. He was of great help to the cell in the case of the missing teenagers.
  24. Greys Small humanoid alien species, who are the common image of "aliens" to most normal people. Standing about three to four feet tall with large oversized heads and big black eyes, their skin color is adeep shuny grey hence their name. The Grey speciesare known to be immensley powerful psychics who dwarf human psychics in both skill and power. Grey encounters are commony associated with time loss and they have been observed making dolphin like hoots and whistles when distressed. Greys do not sem to be able to contemplate physical violence and they are very timied until they use their psychic powers when they instead become ruthless. They have an ongoing association or alliance with the Black book of unknown origin and meaning. Within the USA grey like aliens are the most commonly seen sighting.
  25. Foo Fighters Strange fast moving balls of light first seen by pilots in world war 2. See UFO Type balls of light for more information.
