  1. Re: Atari unloading Cryptic Studios I was wondering, if Cryptic is having some kind of problems and stuff and someone else buys them... Do they then Own the Rights and stuff to our beloved PnP game stuff that you have worked hard on for years? Or do you have some kind of iron clad thing that says "Sorry we owe this, but you can use it." ?
  2. Well I love the game and I am a lifer. The only problem I am having is... Soloing sucks after the second month . I am hoping to find someone who I can team up with regularly and help each other with missions even if they are higher or lower level or completed. I enjoy helping out. So anyone want a gaming but to hang with in the game and do stuff? If your looking to have fun in this game let me know. just look for @VRDragon

  6. Okay I was interested in making a difficultly penalty system for a game I am working on. If anyone has played or read any of the white wolf D10 system books you might know what I am referring to. As a character gets hurt and loses body they get a penalty to OVC DVC and Skill rolls. I don't recall my hero core book having that optional rule. so I was wondering how I might go about making one? Any Advice?

    Aid Limit?

    I have a character with the power of aid 3d6 thats boosts physical stats. My quests is what kind of limits are there to the aid power? How many times can the same person use it on the same person for the same stat? Do aids stack or replace? any other advice help or info?
  8. Re: A Body of Diamond Fine a Super Science guy found that by having diamond in a large enough mass (Say as much as a 6'5" stocky build human form) he could treat it chemically to reinforce it's impact resistances to be in line with it's other hardness qualities.

I am still working on my understanding of ways to build things. high def and resist def but what about damage redux? Would level of redux would be good? I am just looking for "Other" Ideas.   10. Okay, I am working on a brick character. A mineral Alien who's body is for all purposes composed of diamond. I got some info from someone that diamond is listed in a book as... Diamond has 45/30r PD: 45/30r ED; 2xHardening for 45PD/45ED... how do I build this using HD3? Might anyone have any advice or other ideas? for other ways to build this?

  13. I am trying to find some information about making a character who can turn transform into a body composed of diamond. I remember Bloodstone did a write up for Diamondhead from Ben 10. But now I can't seem to find it on the boards... can anyone help me possibly?
  14. Have a character who has mind control on machine class of minds. If they machine doesn't have an ego since most don't. what does the machine resist the power with? How do I roll / work this?

  17. Re: Gun and Armor Critique. Well the entangle was an attempt to make it continue to exist/function if the points of the multipower where switched to anther slot. As I understand MPs if a slot is changed then it's effects stop/turn off at that moment. How would I build such an entangle that as part of an MP Continues on after it's slot is switched and doesn't continue to need endurance upkeep? The only attack besides the entangle to have no end cost is the basic shot. This is suppose to be a shot that the power pack can produce enough power for in an unlimited amount. The other shots are meant to tax the power unit abit but is recovers from the strain. Armor. How would you build an armor that appears like a wristband but when touched morphs over your body into a suit of armor and back into a wristband when not in use. You know how shows have this guy who wears this big suit of body armor then hits a button and it whirls, plates clank and slide, and stuff shrinks until it's reduced in size to become no burden. The RKA is meant to use on heavily armored targets that are hard to hurt. Like Stun immune robots.
  18. One of my players if playing a Time Cop from the Future character who gets stuck in the past. Anyways, we came up with an idea for his powers. The gun I was wondering if we did right. and the Armor, we wanted to make a suit of armor that grows to cover his body and recedes to it's housing unit when not needed. Basically that could be turned off and on. Any advise?   19. Re: Cosmic Power Gem VPP Origin Story: Fred Morris was just an average person with a below average life. He worked a dead end job at a big name retail store, no girlfriend or really any friends for that matter. Fred Longed for a better life, one that he could do something to contribute something meaningful to the world. One cold snowy night during the middle of winter he was on his way home after another soul numbing day of work. Halfway home; but miles to go still. his car suddenly clanked, clunked, and finally died. Fred pulled over, " Great just what I needed on this perfect day." he said as he got out of his car and slammed the door. Looking under the hood wouldn't do much good since he knew about as much about car engines as thermal nuclear brain engineering physics. With no other choice left to him he began the long walk home in the cold snowy Idaho night. If he didn't have bad luck he would have no luck at all he thought to himself.... Out in space a chunk of rock enters the earth's atmosphere and begins its fiery entrance into one man's life. Fred walked on through the cold snow and bitting wind. Only 10 more miles to go he thought to himself with a sigh that puffed a cloud into the night air. Gaining speed the rock began to break up and burn off in the this atmosphere as it sped on it's way towards the ground. As it flew its' debris shot off creating small shooting stars. Fred continued to walk, as he went on he notices a shooting star high overhead. "What the hell?" he thought, "what could it hurt to make a silly wish....". So he stopped looked up at the shooting star and closed his eyes. Having burned up nearly all it's rocky bits only a small core remained behind. About the size of a silver dollar, smooth and clear as perfect glass, one blue chuck remained. It easily survived the cold of space, the fires of reentry what could stop it? this crystal was indestructible.... and still it flew on down towards the ground.... With a slight grin at his moment of silliness, Fred began to recite a variation of much well known star wishing rhyme. " Star light, star bright... Shooting star that..... (TWACK!) BRAINS ME TONIGHT!! With a sudden massive headache Fred passes out cold... He awaken hours later to ringing ears, blurred vision and a pain in his head like nothing on earth..."What the hell happened?" he pondered around the pain in his head. He reached up to rub his forehead. "Something must have hit me" he thought as he rubbed a huge knot on his noggin. Slowly his sense of touch told him something was wrong.... Cold, hard and smooth? This was no knot. As he rubbed at it and felt around it's edge, whatever it was dislodged from his skull and fell into his hand. Whatever it was he was thankful it was not covered in blood, what ever this blue glass rock was.

Requires No Skill Roll(+1) and Powers can be changed as a Zero Phase Action (+1) Unbreakable OAF (-1) 175 Total Too much for a 350 point game?

  24. For my up coming game one of my players will be playing a Batman homage. So I come to a small problem.... The utility belt..... I have been poking about and it seems a VPP would be best to simulate this fun and handy thingy. But I am a moron when it comes to VPP's. Could someone break it down into small parts a moron like me can possibly understand?
  25. Re: Okay here is my soup, needs some more spices? Well somethings I forgot to add to my orginial post. This is my first adventure for a group who has never played hero before. The nuke subplot is something I was kinda having as something for the next/following game if they don't solve it during the first game. Please keep the ideas and comments coming. I can use the help looking at this from different angles.
