In a campaign I ran I probably wouldn't use this, but if I decided to adopt this I would make it genre specific and use the following ruling: Scale 1-4 Scale 1: Normal Scale 2: Agents/Low Powered Super (or something along these lines) Scale 3: Super Powered Scale 4: Galactice Power And then apply damage reduction based on the difference in level: 1: 25% 2: 50% 3: 75%
  2. Re: Best way to Build Cap's Shield? While I for one am no expert on the subject I personally view Independant as the next logical extention to the Expendability part of a focus. Difficult...Very Difficult...Extremely Difficult, then Independent. So the only ruling I as a GM would make is you can't have expendability on a Focus you are making Independent. No problem on that front if it made sense and you really wanted Independent. The only question I would raise, not being a Captain America storyline expert, is if Captain America used any other equipment during his quest to recover the focus? Basically was he using other non-standard gear during his time without The Shield during his adventures/quest to recover the Shield? (other shields, guns, whatever). If so I would personally avoid Independent and just stick with Extremely Difficult to recover as I would interpret that as him temporarily spending his points in the missing shield elsewhere.   3. Re: [Newbie] problem figuring out this power Welcome aboard! I have some suggestions regarding your tree powers. Well first of course is to check out the Super Power Database on plant control. But some ideas of the top of my head are to build standard powers. Entangle, Telekinesis, etc with the OIF (Tree/Plant of Opportunity) limitation. On top of course the mental abilities to control sentient plants/trees if that suits your campaign. I hope this helped. Raizer
  4. Re: Inconsitancies I've been thinking about this one for a little while now. I would hope that the Milkman is playing in a heroic campaign where 1 END / 5 pts is the norm rather than the 1 END / 10 pts. If so, his END use is a little higher than stated. Even running 6" uses 2 END per phase. This at least scales things better in my mind. -Raizer

  6. Folks, I'm trying to create a character who can provide a 10 resistant Mental Defense force field for a group of characters (8 people). Only usable for those he is mind linked to (and the mind link must be maintained throughout the use of it). I want the power to be 0 END and Persistent for those under the effects of the field but he/she must maintain the power with END. Additionally as its defined as a mental power I need it to be able to be turned on at range through the link (maybe bought as BOECV and Ranged) and invisible to all but Mental Senses. Any advice how to make this power? Raizer
