I completely forgot about Str. Minimum. Ogre doing 9D6 with the Club would be the most I'd allow as a GM.

  2. Blue, I liked the character concept.

Two things stood out to me:

    1. If he's fearless, how about some Pre. only vs Pre Attacks?

    2. +6D6 w/Great Club plus his 30 Str. and you get 12D6 attack. That pretty darn vicious. You got to be careful you're not killing people you don't want to with that attack.

  3. In the Terran Empire book, pages 159/160, there are write-ups on hyperdrives.

The write-ups use T'port w/megascale, which is all good. What I don't understand is, why do the write-ups have the Cost Endurance limitation? Teleport normally cost endurance, so it shouldn't get that limitation.

    What am I missing here?

  4. Looking over some of the free samples of the B5 D20 book, I'd say it would be worth getting as a resource for use with the Hero System.

Very much enjoy (and appreciate) your work so far...

Just incase any DOJ folks read this thread, I'd like to add my agreement to this statement.

I for one rarely read the FAQ, but it would be nice to be updated on changes to FREd.

  6. A guy in our gaming group thru out the question the other night. At the time I told him around 300pts, making sure the active points in the DNPC's powers didn't exceed any of his powers(generally speaking). I also told him don't come to rely on the DNPC to much. After all it's a DNPC, not a Follower.

I just wanted to get the opinions of some of you fine (and not so fine) folks. Thanks.

  7. In a standard Champions campaign (350pts) a characters takes a DNPC that is Slightly Less powerful.

What would you say is slightly less powerful in terms of overall points of DNPC, and the points in powers/skills?

When he makes a huge barrier of webbing that uses up more web fluid than, say, simply swinging from building to building. Fueled charges won't work because they are tied to time and not volume.

I sort of think this is a rules quandary as well - something the charge limitation doesn't seem to anticipate.

I think Spidey's web shooters are IIF. His costume covers his shooters, they can't be seen. A person that sees him in action doesn't know that they are there, or if the webs coming directly from him.

    Cost Power

58 Barrow Skill: (Total: 79 Active Cost, 58 Real Cost) Transfer 1d6, Can Transfer Maximum Of 10 Points, Delayed Return Rate (points return at the rate of 5 per Minute) (+1/4), Reduced Endurance 0 END (+1/2), Based On EGO Combat Value (Mental Defense; +1), Variable Effect Four Skills Simultaneously (+1) (64 Active Points); Limited Power Must get Ego +30 on telepathy roll. (-1/2) (Real Cost: 43) plus Target Keeps Skill: Naked Modifier, Usable Simultaneously (+1/2), Variable Effect Four Skills Simultaneously (+1) (15 Active Points) (Real Cost: 15)

    Powers Cost: 58

I like what you're trying to do here.

As a GM I'd allow you to make a VPP similar to what Dust Raven mentioned earlier. It may look something like this.

26 Variable Power Pool, 20 base + 6 control cost (30 Active Points); Must get +30 w/Telepathy (-1/2), Only Skills Target has (-1/4)

    Powers Cost: 26

I know I'm missing a few things, but that's the general idea.

  10. Spawn would be tough. I'd say he would have a Cosmic Power Pool.

Cloak shouldn't be to bad. Darkness powers as well as extra dimentional t'port. Few other tidbits as well.

So if somebody is interested in buying old Champion products, I could go there and buy them (of course I can make catalogue first and send it here). Price would be quite low, maybe 5-10 dollars per book. I'm not sure how much it costs sending books around world. Now it is good chance to get old books.
