  1. Re: [Heresy] Do we need Killing Attacks?

My first thought at reading this was to roll my eyes; then I stopped and thought about it. I'm still thinking about. I really don't know which way I'll end up feeling about it, though I do think it's actually a good subject for discussion and debate.

I do have one thing that is setting off my "Caution!!" sense, though; while we may be able to effectively do the same thing as a KA with the non-KA attacks and Advantages and such (that is, building a KA using other bits), should we? I keep thinking about Healing and Regeneration and what a kludge Regen became just to shoehorn it into Healing and build it out of other bits instead of just leaving it on its own...

  2. Re: Pirates : An amusing question.

Build a massive deathtrap lair, using the money you have as "seed money." Start the rumor there's massive treasure/wealth at the heart of the deathtrap lair. Watch treasure-hunters come from far and wide. Recover what money, weapons, and equipment they have on them from their corpses after they're killed by the deathtrap. Use that to start actually accumulating a big treasure pile in the heart of the thing. Wash, rinse, repeat...

Think of the expense of building the big deathtrap lair like an investment for a guaranteed continuous future income. :)

I believe you exist as well Dr. A. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise!

You know, it's a darn good thing that we forum deities aren't part of the "without faith I am nothing" group of deities, or I may well have vanished in a puff of logic long ago... ;)

Um, let me see... 1,350 hours is a bit over 56 days, not counting time for sleep and food and other things.

So... approx. 2 months of doing nothing but posting to this thread every 30 seconds, for one person, round the clock.

    :nonp:

  5. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

Let's see... if we want 10,000 pages, that's 150,000 posts.

We're at 15,000 (and change) which leaves 135,000 posts to go.

Any given person can only posts once every 30 seconds, so under optimum conditions, 120 times an hour. Let's round that down to 100 posts per hour per person.

That means we need 1,350 man-hours of solid posting to hit 10,000 pages.

    ...

    That's a whole lotta posting...
