Oh, I'm cringing at the thought the reaction to this, but... since you're talking about CHANGING the light... what about... Cosmetic Transform...? Just changing the color, after all...

A couple of dice of that, with limitations like "Only vs. properly-equipped traffic lights" and such and it'll be pretty darn cheap...

And if you want the ability to not just turn them green, but to turn them (for example) red to hinder pursuit, just go with the slightly expanded effect adder...

I set it a LONG time back. For the reason that when my depression was really ramping up, I didn't necessarily want to "have" to interact if I didn't want to. I do still have some misgivings about turning it off... but the person who said they wished I wasn't on invisible mode is someone who I really like and don't like disappointing. So I'm giving it a whirl...

When I stuck my nose back in and started posting again, I did briefly consider doing something similar to that Next Generation race of aliens that spoke only in metaphor: making my posts using only the Magic cards that I had created, and no typed text at all. I quickly disregarded this notion for two reasons. First, it would have been incredibly self-referrential. Second, it would have taken a lot of effort to find the cards to piece out what I wanted to say each time, and I tend to ramble on. In other words, I didn't primarily because I'm lazy...
