Yeah' date=' you're right. It's not there anymore. The funny thing is, the website was down last night from about 10:30 to 12:00 (at last from what I saw), but at 12:05 I checked the website and it worked. It had a new layout and everything, so I started looking at all the new stuff. Under About Champions, on the very bottom, was the announcement that they teamed up with some video game company and sold the Champions IP to them to make an MMORPG using the characters, but not the system. I even quoted from it in an earlier post, but that too got deleted.[/quote']

That would be cool. I could convert them to normal hdc's I just have them as hdt so you can build a character from them as a template from that race. I only have HDv2.42 though. I build them all using the alternate ncm program on your website and then add in powers and then save them as a template.

*hint hint* buy version 3, it's much better, plus it's still getting updated! Not to mention cheap!

In any case, I agree with the idea that some bit magical calamity type thing happens. Ocean spewing forth is most interesting to me, while black hole sucking world into it is only good if your characters can figure out how not to get sucked in... unless they have to get sucked in to fix things, then find their way out and find a crater instead of a mountain.... nevermind, go blackhole, tis more interesting!

if you have bought 3pt skill levels for your bow, then yes, you can make them do more damage with your bow.

If you have bought 3pt skill levels for your sword, then no, you cannot make them do more damage with your bow, but you CAN make them do more damage with your sword.

If you have bought 5pt skill levels for Ranged combat, then yes, you can make them do more damage with your bow (or any other weapon used at range).

If you have bought 5pt skill levels for Melee combat, then no, you cannot make them do more damage with your bow (or any other ranged weapon), but you CAN make them do more damage with your sword (or any other weapon used for melee).

If you have bought 8pt or 10pt skill levels, then yes, you can make them do more damage with your bow, your sword, your foot, your fingernail clipper, or anything else the GM says ok to.

Hope that didn't sound condescending, but just trying to cover all the bases!

Then I would suggest leaving most of its characteristics at base but otherwise give it the benefits of the 'Tiny' package. It should still be strong enough to damage enemies and by dint of being a big black bird of sorcerous aspect it shouldn't loose too much presence.

Then I suggest adding some or all of the following, modified to your taste of course.

 

14. Bird Flight: Flight 6", x4 Noncombat (17 Active Points); Physical Manifestation - Wings (-1/4)

 

6. Beady Eyes: +3 Sight Perception.

 

10. Witchsight: Detect Supernatural Beings 11- (Mystic Group)

 

5. Claws and Beak: Killing Attack - Hand-To-Hand 1 point (1/2d6 w/STR)

 

7. Claws of Immaterial Rending: Deadly Blow: +1d6 (Only Against Spirits Or Spectral Beings)

 

5. Bond: Mind Link , Human class of minds, One Specific Mind

 

Total Powers Cost = 47.

 

I've already mentioned some possible skills. Occult knowledge or knowledge of spirits and Voodoo are also good skills here.

 

Other possible Disadvantages include the inability to speak human languages, a disturbing aura, reduced Con, (because it's so small), reputation - Bird of Ill Omen and of course Social Limitation - "It's Just a Dumb Animal! Ignore it." How much these are worth is up to you.

Personally, I like all that, though wouldn't the limitation on the Flight be Restrainable to represent wings? You could possibly put that on the HKA too.

Saves 6 points on the flight and 2 points on the HKA.
