Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat
NT: Darth Vader's real first words after donning the black respirator suit he wore in Episdoes IV - VI for the first time. What's that niose? Anybody else hear that..? It's like an asthmatic in an echo chamber...God, that's annoying...
NT: Plays Shakespeare would write if he were alive today.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
Whoops' date=' saw this after I responded to Log - see my post above, think about the movie as centering on salvation, the notion of repetance and grace, and then think about the Biblical visitation on Egypt, I think from that it is a pivotal event wherein this is really one of the plagues and it signifies that time is up - it is time to repent or let one's soul die. Of course that's just my view of it.[/quote']Actually, I think he's referring to The Ninth Gate, which did have a bit of a weird ending. I did a double take on it, then thought ooooh, ok, gotcha. Very nice.

Re: Marvel Second Stringers. Help me out.
Okay, I 've been running the characters around in my head.I need a good martial artist.
Not Shang Chi as he's not a "Tights" kind of guy, Iron Fist is too New York. Nomad is dead. Mantis is well, too odd.
Any little used masters of the martial arts out there? Team is based in Seattle, as I've said before, where Bruce Lee is buried. Any other Kung Fu wannabe's in the MU?
What about the Sons of the Tiger? Any of them still active?
Martial artist, eh? Well, if Iron Fist is out, then my first impulse is Wolfsbane (no idea what her status is currently).
Further brainstorming...Nighthawk, or maybe the Inhuman Karnak.
Edit: Oh, I know--Puck!

Re: Musings on Random Musings
I would still recommend Magnolias' date=' even with Cruise in it...[/quote']I don't have a problem with The Tom. He's not a draw to me, nor is he a repulsor.
Actually,Magnolia is one of my favorite movies.
There. Now at least half of you will never speak to me again...

Re: Musings on Random Musings
Yes he has, it is called the ninth gate and it has a really anticlimactic ending. The rest of the movie is good though, lots of interesting details and characters.
Now see, I like that one.

Re: The New Champions (Marvel)
I just stumbled across a good history write up here on Giant Man 2 .
And as a bonus...Marvel RPG Stats!

Way to get my hopes up, there.

My Top Six Box Office Draws
(aka actors that will get me to see a movie I’m not even interested in)
1. Geoffrey Rush. This guy is probably my all time favorite. Magnificent.
2. Johnny Depp. Does this guy ever make a bad movie? If I could be anyone else, I’d want to be…Santa Claus. But Johnny Depp comes right after him.
3. Bill Murray. My idol.
4. Kevin Spacey. A brilliant actor and Chatsworth High School alum.
5. Morgan Freeman. The wise old man of modern cinema. Genuine class.
6. Jennifer Connolly. ‘Nuff said.
My Top Six Box Office Repulsors
(aka actors that will stop me from watching movies I’m actually interested in)
1. Nicole Kidman. I know I’m in the minority on this one, but I find her terribly annoying and untalented.
2. Angelina Jolie. The most overrated woman in Hollywood…?
3. Val Kilmer. Another Chatsworth alum, but one I’m not necessarily proud of. Liked the early stuff, but everything from The Saint on repulsive.
4. Charlie Sheen. Bringing new meaning to the words “talentless hack.â€
5. Leonardo DiCaprio. I don’t even know why, but I just don’t like him.
6. Jennifer Lopez. Not really fair, since I’ve never found one of her movies even slightly appealing. Still, a repulsor.

Re: The New Champions (Marvel)
Is this from a new book coming out? I'd love o see Bill Foster Giant-Man in action again. Seems to be a Project Pegasus connection...?
BTW, have you seen The Incarnations of Giant-Man? A must for all Giant-Man/Goliath fans.

Re: Musings on Random Musings
I managed to slice the tip of my left index finger off while slicing onions at work tonight. Not the entire thing... I mean' date=' I didn't cut bone, but I've got missing skin and meat now... its irritating.[/quote']Holy crap...umm, irritating? What, do you have to lose a knuckle to get pissed?
Hope you're ok!
Those onions are ruthless, man...

Re: New Book: Superheroes and Philosophy
I've seen it, but I haven't been able to read it yet. This book is actually one of the reasons I created my library of heroic fiction as a semester project this year. Browsing through the graphic novels section of the local mega bookstore, I found a great number of books examining the world of superheroes from an academic perspective. It's become quite a phenomena. (De doo de doo doo.) I'm hoping to collect as many of these books as possible, money permitting.
Matt, glad to see you here! I'm looking forward to reading this one.

Could Aid be used to enhance existing entangles? Example: Char A hits Villain with a 3 DEF entangle. Char B has a DEF Aid power. Could Char B Aid the DEF score of the entangle on the Villain?

Re: Team of second rate Villains
Ahem.
Stilt-Man would never be on a team of second rate villains.
He's too good for them.
Thank you.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
I have lost my recipe for French Onion Soup.
I really liked this one, and I can't remember where it came from.
Guess I'll go try Alton's recipe. He never let me down before.
Now for the rest of the menu...

I was rereading Top Ten and I started considering what a game of that ilk might be like. Has anyone ever attempted a game where all NPCs had powers of some sort? It would be a big challenge, I'm sure.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings
Post #500. I just surpassed myself in reputation...perfect!
On a side note, this is the address for my new project, Legends: Library of Heroic Fiction. This is the prototype page that I built for class. I'm reworking and expanding the idea in the future. this is the first page I've ever done. Please, drop by, take a look, tell me what you think. It's very bare with info only under the non-fiction and links sections, but I think people here will find them interesting. I'm also looking for feedback on the graphics, the layout, readability, etc. Post here or send me an email from the homepage link

3" stretching, defined as a prehensile clitoris. Breast milk makes humans into hermaphrodite sex slaves. Multiform turns her arms into wheels and her feet into hammers, or maybe the other way around. Also, she throws fish at people. What?
This is never going away, is it?

Can anyone tell me why He-Man was so damned determined to keep a secret ID? The point of the secret ID is to protect the loved ones, but his loved ones were the most targeted people in (whatever the name of that place was)! It makes no sense! Man that cartoon sucked...
