  1. Greetings fellow HEROphiles, I am converting an old character of mine from AD&D 1e to HERO and have hit a slight snag. He has a Bag of Holding (as well as a Portable Hole). SO here is my question. How would you all model that in HERO terms?

    Thank you in advance,

    Grym

  2. Re: The Avengers Legacy

Yes Alpha Flight got killed off. I was asked to take them out due to Armatrons background and I feel I at least gave them a better send off than an @$$ whuppin that happened off panel.

You sure did mate, I must admit that was one of the best game sessions I have attended in a very long time. Even if all I did was type in "All Hail The I'sonj'ries"

I think I had more fun the the rest of the team and they were doing all of that fighting :D

In any case.. all I can say HAWK is you rock.

    And Rep to you.

  3. Re: Interdimensional stories

I would also check out The Cross-time engineer series by Leo Frankowski.

    "From Wikipedia...

    Cross-Time Engineer series

The Conrad Stargard series, in which a twentieth-century engineer travels back in time to thirteenth-century Poland."

Very good read in my honest opinon

  4. Re: Campaign Idea . . . almost.

They open a bar? Problems can come to them' date=' there can be issues with the location, the staff, the regulars ... the irregulars...[/quote']

The could model the bar after Callahan's cross time salon, then literally anything could and will happen.

  5. Re: The Avengers Legacy

It was pretty funny. I was after an Avengers Legacy group and the first couple of chars that were pitched at me were Alpha Flight' date=' Masters of Evil, and X Men related. So much for having an "Avengers" team but its been a lot of fun none the less.[/quote']

MEH.. Mackie may not be an Avengers Legacy, of course he could be following in uncle Logans footsteps.. :P

  6. Re: The Avengers Legacy

    Woo hoo! AVENGERS ASSEMBLE!

BTW, I always knew that Madison and Heather would hook up at some point. Two of my favorite characters. Glad to see someone playing their legacy!

Glad to see some one loves those two characters as much as I do... When Hawk started this game, Mac was the only character I truly wanted to create and run.

  7. Re: Enemies for Teen Champions game

    truancy officer? Really?

Yep a truancy officer.. picture the scene. Our intrepid Hero's have to ditch school for the day to deal with a menace to the city. The TA notices that they are missing from school and goes looking for them. He finds them, in mid fight..... what does he do, help them to defeat the menace and then drag them back to school where he hands out punishment for skipping school (ISS, OSS etc.), or does he just try and drag them back to school.

Just think of the complications to their lives this would provide.....

  8. Re: Adventure Seed: Dinos in the Mists

    Repped him as requested...

I have looked over his adventure seed... looks a lot like an adventure I ran several years ago (back during HERO 3rd ed). The main characters received a distress call from a research colony on an uncharted world... upon arriving they discovered that the distress call was from an automated beacon.

They took cutters down to the surface of the planet and discovered the old research station in ruins and no sign of the scientists. Further investigation turned up large tracks of what appeared to be some kind of large reptile.

The long and short of it was that soon they were under siege by vicious bipedal, semi sentient reptiles that had a hunger for human flesh. They also discovered that the planet was inhabited by numerous saurians, each of which was in it's own way dangerous to humans.

Again, great adventure seed.. would love to see a full treatment of it, when you finish it.

    Again

  9. Re: John Sable: Freelance

The thing is that Grell could and often did put many plot points in his series comics, but if I reall correctly he always tied them up, ususlly when you least expected it. Not like the jerrrrrrrrrrrr...ummmm... guys that took over Warlord when he left. *shudders* does anyone remember the whole Atlantis attacks Skartaris(sp?) thing? Anyway just give Mr. Grell a chance and all will become clear I am certain.

    Take care and be well,

  10. Re: John Sable: Freelance

Another one of Mike Grell's wonderful series. I haven't read much of the series but what have read is wonderful. I think that he would make a great character for DC. HMMMm if you could give me some of his background maybe I could give it a go(my own knowledge is way to limited). But if anyone else want's to give it a go I would love to see it.

  11. Re: Moon Knight........

I also started collecting MK at issue #1, At the time I loved the whole back story for him. It just seemed to me that as time went on they messed with everything that made him so cool. Now I know that the series was produced back in the 80's and IRC he didn't ever kill anyone. I think that he has always had the cresent darts as well as the Truncheon(sp?), so in the beginning I thought of him more as a hero(low powered)/Vigilante.. but as time went on more and more of a vigilante.

Anyway I hope that the new MK series goes back to the begining and does him right this time. Also could anyone explaine the virus to me I missed that(i'd stopped collecting by that point). Thank you.

    Take care and be well,

  12. Hello all,

I was just wondering does anyone remember Moon Knight? Now the next question, is he a Superhero or a Vigilante?

Me I think of him as a Vigilante, but I would like to hear what other people think.

    Take care and be well,

    Gil

  13. Re: Has anyone ever converted Morrow Project to Hero?

Thank you all for your suggestions and advice, I am going to get Dark Champions as well as the TMP stuff as the funds become available. I believe I have seen the Supply Bunker in the past and will go there as soon as I am done here. Again thank you all....

    Take care and be well

  14. Re: Has anyone ever converted Morrow Project to Hero?

where to start, you see last year I lost a lot of stuff during Hurricane Jeanne.. this included ALL of my Marrow project stuff, what I am really looking for is a PDF file or web site where this stuff may have been stored. Eventually I'll get around to re-collecting all of the products for MP again. However until then I was just looking to at least get a game going again. I also lost pages and pages of material that I had copied from older Hero products, such as damage dice by gun calabire, what effect different kinds of Ammo do (ex. Hollow points, AP and the like), I think this has hurt me more in the long run then the lose of some of my books.

    Thank you

    Grymour

  15. Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone has ever converted MP to Hero, or if they know where a conversion exists. Years ago, an old gaming buddy of mine first introduced me to Hero system by playing MP converted to that system. It was great and I would love to play/run a game again.

Thank you... take care and be well,

    Grymour
