  1. Re: WWYCD: Dare to be Foxbat

I'm Foxbat... But do I still have my mind? (Obviously I do since I can tell that there's been a switch' date=' right?)[/quote']

Your mind and personality are now in Foxbat's body, and Foxbat's mind and personality is now in your body. You kinds wake up in Foxbat's bed, as Foxbat, and something seems different.

  2. You and your team have fought with Foxbat one day, and a few days later, you and Foxbat have suddenly endured a mind-swap. You are Foxbat and Foxbat is you.

In this situstion, what would your character do? :dyn

Similarly, what do you think Foxbat would do? (Dun, dun, duuunnnnnnn...) :P

  3. Re: Single Green Superhero seeks.... (personels for your characters)

Corona (Would be POed at anyone making an add for her' date=' but they still might.) Looking for teenage male for SWF, must be able to control ones self around highly attractive females. Geekish tendancies probably a plus.[/quote']

Lab Rat (Real name Mick Calloway. A gadgeteer/genetic throwback with the appearance of a kangaroo rat. Socially awkward individual' date=' so this ad would be a joke done by friends): Single Tan Mouse-guy seeks female for the purpose of getting a life. Interested parties please call 298-8461 and ask for Shawn Williams. Our friend is rather shy and we need to get him out of the lab for social experience.[/quote']

LR's buds would very likeley seize the opportunity. :P

  4. Re: Single Green Superhero seeks.... (personels for your characters)

Hmm. Wonder if someone would actually *LET* me play a cartoon character' date=' in retrospect.[/quote']

If I were GMing the game, you'd have to present the idea upfront or somehow arrang with me some way it could happen. But then again, I'm a fairly liberal sort as far as letting characters into a Champions game goes.

EDIT: It would also depend on the tone of the campaign as well and how you want to handle such a character.

  5. Re: Character Curveballs

Steve and Darren need to create a whole sourcebook around this character. He is seriously cool.

Well, if anyone wants to pitch in, we could create an organization book for Dogma. Of course, it would have to be a joke supplement and we'd need permission from the HERO folks if we wanna publish it, even for free I think.

  6. Re: Character Curveballs

    Well, let's add another example:

From the controversial WWYCD stalker thread, we have Reinard the Fox, or Renn Fox. He is a living cartoon fox from another dimension. And he was made as a serious character (kinda Bronze-Agish, though originally made for an Iron Age setting). He's currently in a campaign that is currently on hold until the GM graduates and gets a job.

  7. Here is a thread for the wierdest characters you have ever created for a champions game. All you need is a name, description, and whether they are a hero or a villain. Here is an example:

    K. Dogma: A dog with intentions to rules the world and create a new world order for dog-kind. Too long, the dogs of the world have submitted, and now it is time for them to cast off their chains and rise up against the humans. Many dogs consider him crazy, though, but he has gotten himself quite an army, and access to a rare gen that boosts his psychic potential. Obvioulsy a villain. Think of him, power-wise, as a canine M. Bison.

  8. Re: Advice for a team of unfortunate supers

And this is why I'd consider her power to be one of the more dangerous of the group - many traditional vulgarities were curses - this power (potentially) allows the character to curse her enemies in a vareity of EXTREMLY nasty ways - the "g-d damn it" one being one of the more nasty ones.

So that's why they are sometimes referred to as "curse words"...

  9. Re: Advice for a team of unfortunate supers

I would SO play this character' date=' except I'd get bored (and mildly embarrassed) by the sheer amount of swearing it would require.[/quote']

Well, if you want to use this character and yet refrain from swearing, take a tip from Yosemite Sam. Make up your own "cussing." Razzit frazzit mazzit mazzit... It might also help to study Fowlmouth of Tiny Toon Adventures when you can. Same strategy.

You can also beep out the words if you want.

  10. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous)

I did recently write a rather insensitive, somewhat vulgar song parody mostly about Kevin Siembieda. To the tune of Bohemian Rhapsody. I won't post it to the forum, but it is available upon request for any adults who strongly felt that the Kevster could be taken down a peg. But I warn you. It is cruel and insensitive, pounding on the guy's ego and even offering an explanation why so much of character creation in Palladium games is random (which is the real reason why it's for adults only) Further, this is all opinions from people I've read from. So, not on this board, but it's available on request.

    Sorry for the threadjack.

  11. When a meteor struck in the middle of a park, five people were bathed in its cosmic radiation, gaining powers that are just plain unfortunate. They feel that now they have powers, they are obligated to fight crime. Here are out wannabe superheroes:

Professor Paisley: A college professor whose power is to change the color of an object, giving it an ugly appearance with the worst color combinations possible. He also has no fashion sense. His costume is a paisley jumpsuit.

Hallucinogen: A hippy given the power to cause strage, seemingly drug-induced hallucinations without drugs. His costume is a tye-dye shirt and black jeans with fading.

Engrish Man: a former English teacher whose brain was scambled by the cosmic radiation. BNow he can turn anybody's speech unintelligible by fracturing the grammatical syntax and torturing the tenses of the very sentences. His costume makes him look like CATS of Zero Wing.

The Mime: An unfortunate mime who was bathed in the cosmic energy. He now has the power to make imaginary objects have real effects (he can knock a guy out with an imaginary baseball bat, for example). His costume is a typical mine's outfit. He is also mute.

Lady Foulmouth: This irritable wman has just discovered that she can cuss a blue streak at people and do damage to them, thanks to the cosmic radiation. Her costume is a blue streaked jumpsuit.

Now they've come to your characters for advice. What would you tell them?

  12. Re: A contriversial "Would your character...?"

Okay. Let's evaluate some of my super "singles" from the Personals thread:

Lab Rat, being the socially awkward type, would initially refuse until he hears that part about the millions at stake. At which point, he will do it reluctantly. Though as he does it, he will certainly have his teammates search for the doomsday device.:o

Reinard the Fox would start by trying to convince the villainess to take one of his teammates instead. They are more likely to do what she wants, to give her a child while he would most likely at best be nothing more than a pleasure-toy for her (that thing about there two different standards of physics between them). Failing that, he'll go with it, but his teammates had better make D@&% sure that they find the doomsday device fast and get it deactivated. At least then the danger to his marriage (since he is married in his home dimension) would at least have been for something. Though he'd still question why this lady would be attracted to him.

Kitsune will go along, but use one of her shapeshifting tricks during the foreplay to grab the remote device and destroy it so that the doomsday device cannot be activated.

Sonic Eagle will play along with a bit, until it seems right to use a sonic screech to stun the villainess and then grab the remote, using his supersonic flight to get away and the air's friction to destroy the remote to the device can't be activated.:dyn
