  1. Re: Single Green Superhero seeks.... (personels for your characters)

Here are a few concerning characters I've made:

Lab Rat (Real name Mick Calloway. A gadgeteer/genetic throwback with the appearance of a kangaroo rat. Socially awkward individual, so this ad would be a joke done by friends): Single Tan Mouse-guy seeks female for the purpose of getting a life. Interested parties please call 298-8461 and ask for Shawn Williams. Our friend is rather shy and we need to get him out of the lab for social experience.

Reinard The Fox (Real name Renn Fox. A toon fox from another dimension. Where he came from, he's already married, but it's likely someone (like a teammate) could do this to him. Especially since he is almost constantly trying to be serious (and occasionally slips into a gag unwittingly).): SRC (single red cartoon) seeks self-assured female for dating. Must have a sense of humor. Will consider all replies, serious or otherwise.

Kitsune (Alleged real name Kaede Mizaki. A shapeshifterwho fights crime as a means of justifying her existance among her kind. This one is serious.): Single Japanese Female, 75 years old (yet looks not a day older than 18) seeking man for companionship. Long lifespan is a must. Bhuddist would be ideal. Will consider all serious replies.

Sonic Eagle (Real Name Derrik Brodey. A flying sonic-hero who is also a newpaper reporter. He has a public identity thanks to the paper he works for (what could be better publicity than having your own official superhero?)): SBM (Single black male), college educated, seeking single female for dating and possibly long term companionship. Must be willing to accept that her potential husband is a superhero. Will consider all serious replies.

  2. Re: WWYCD: Fundamentalist against non-tech supers.

In fiction at least. In real life' date=' this is not ALWAYS the case.[/quote']

Even then, they tend to have something to hide.

For instance, many gay-bashers are, ironically, gay themselves but refuse to acknowledge it. That's what we call denial.

As they say, "Denial is a river in Africa."

But okay. Let's advance this situation now. Those who did their reasearch have now found out the following:

This so-called holyman is one of three (two brothers and a sister) doing the same thing. The other two are in different cities. This is part of a plan called "Revelations," with many references to the Bible.

The preacher has a number of cybernetic implants according to his medical record. Including a chip in his brain that gives him psionic powers. (This includes mind control.) It can only be assumed that the other two have the same hidden inplants. One record indicates his entire arm being replaced aster it was blown off by an energy killing-attack during a super slugfest (he was a bystander apparently).

Any plans to reveal his powers reveals only the following:

His right arm is a peice of metal with a synthetic flesh overlay.

Attempts to outdo his oratory or to campaign agasinst his word have shown little success. Somehow, mind control is suspect. Those supers confronted and yet survived have notices glowing eyes on the normals. The glow goes away when the attacker is unconscious. Possibly mind control was used.

    So now what?

  3. Re: WWYCD: Fundamentalist against non-tech supers.

It's been brought to my attention that the idea of normal folks going out and killing actual supers would not be as realistic. So here's a change to the situation:

Media reports say that at least half of the victims in the killings are actually normal people mistaken to be supers, according to their genetic and government profiles.

  4. The local media presents a new influential person in your city, a minister who exposes the beleif that superpowers from a non-technological source are the work of Satan in an attempt to withdraw souls from the side of God and Jesus. Here are some things he's actually presented:

Magic powers: "Those kinds of powers could only come from a Satanic pact!"

Divine Powers: "Only Jesus Christ can have the powers of God and walk this Earth."

Powered Armor: "The powers of science have no connections with the powers of Satan."

Robots: "Robots have no souls. They are nothing but tools. They cannot be damned, nor can they be saved."

Mutants and aliens: "Nowadays, 'Mutant' and 'Alien' are just euphamisms for Satan's Spawn."

People who do not look human yet are not robotic (this includes birth deformities) are automatically equated to supers, regardless of whether or not they have powers.

The scary part is that people are now taking a shine to this hateful preacher's word and some of his followers are actually hunting down supers and killing them. When confronted, he simply says, "I have no responsibility over the actions of an unstable few. I do not condone their actions, but I do not have the means to stop them."

    What would your character do?

  5. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous)

    Redundant Hero

(because that joke never gets old)

    Nope. It just gets redundant.

    Copyright Infringement HERO

Will Foxbat ever realize that reality is not a comic book? Will Captain Chronos ever find his purpose in the past? Will the Palindromedary ever be anytrhing more than a simple joke? 6. Re: Final Fantasy HERO: Limit Breaks

Limit Breaks have been a core part of the Final Fantasy games for decades now' date=' though they have been called by different names (such as Overdrives) in different games.[/quote']

Uhm, actually, limit breaks were never a part of Final Fantasy until FF7. In FF4, the characters had their individual ab ilities, but they never charged up those abilities. A true stickler might say they arrived in FF6 where Terra was able to become an esper, but even then, that was a personal ability and only one so-called "limit break."

They've been in there for over a decade, but not for "decades."

    Sorry. Final Fantasy player here.

  7. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous)

Well, I don't think Fuzion is THAT bad. It's not very good, but definitely better than Palladium. Of course, I also like d20, Interlock, Action! System, FUDGE, TWERPS, Storyteller (old version), Toon, Story Engine, Cartoon Action Hour, and a number of other systems. Of course, as a wannabe Game designer, it helps to know what's good and what's bad about many systems.

  8. Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous)
