The Ender branch or the Bean branch? Because I think the Ender sequels are weak and lose the character of Ender, but the Bean/Shadow books are, I think, quite good.

I used to have to do this regularly. I softened the blow by going alone with a stack of comics to get some peace and quiet (away from the wife and kids). I turned it into my private time.

I just sacrificed many, many precious hours of sleep to help a dozen close friends make an 8 minute movie for the "48 Hour Guerrilla Film Challenge" -- it was so much fun.

Exactly. Columbus and his men cited vast numbers of indigenous people and by the time the Mayflower got here they were all massively depopulated and the colonists noted how "tame" the wilderness was. Of course it was, millions of people had tamed it before they got here.
