  1. Re: The Power to cloud men's minds That's a very interesting way to do that. Excellent suggestion.
  2. Re: The Power to cloud men's minds I haven't read all the way through APG II yet. Interesting. I'll check that one out. Mental Illusions was the first thing I thought of, but invisibility seems the quickest route.
  3. Re: The Power to cloud men's minds That could work. What of all the normal folks? Would we assume a general roll against the 'casual intelligence' of the crowd?
  4. Re: "Neat" Pictures The girlfriend and I went out of town for the weekend and my buddy, Captain Calico Jack (AKA the Cap'n) had to go to the kennel. He loves the kennel because they put him in the puppy play area and he plays the entire time (he's a very gentle soul). But he always comes home exhausted When I left my office to go to work this morning, I noticed that he was not lying behind my desk chair (as he usually does). I found this in the living room.
  5. Re: "Neat" Pictures I'm one episode short of finishing season 1, so I look forward to her appearance as I move into Season 2.
  6. Because I am ramping up my unnamed GAC/Pulp campaign, I have been re-watching a lot of serials and re-reading a lot of pulps. In "Pulp Hero" 5Ed, Steve proposes the obvious solution to the Shadow's ability to ability to vanish by 'clouding men's minds' -- invisibility. Various versions are presented, but there is a suggestion that the GM optionally allow a +1 PER to detect the character for every 5 points of Mental Defense that the person has. That's totally in keeping with the power, those with strong minds can see through the Shadow's 'invisibility'. That mechanic (while elegant) doesn't work for me. It doesn't take in to consideration merely those with high EGO and, from my perspective, it doesn't really fit the way we do things as a general rule (maybe I'm over analyzing). So, how would you write up Invisibility that can be perceived by those "with enough will"?

  9. Re: "Neat" Pictures I've also looked into jobs there. Luxury and a load of cash is enticing.
  10. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? The Phantom and The Shadow (the 90s versions). They ain't perfect, but they get my pulp brain working.
  11. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I'll check it out. Thanks.
  12. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread I'm a firm believer in making you're own luck. Clearly we all know you're awesome, so they'll see it too
  13. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? How was it?
  14. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Good for you. I toldja
  15. Re: Make Your Own Motivational Poster It has been noted that I hate to laugh. Fortunately Seinfeld never put that to the test.
  16. Re: "Neat" Pictures I've seriously looked into jobs in Mumbai.
  17. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Home from charleston. Going to get my dog from doggie daycare.
  18. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? I saw "Wicked" again, this time in Charleston, because occasionally I need some fresh seafood with my theater -- and my green chick obsession
  19. Re: "Neat" Pictures I knew she looked -- ahem -- familiar.
