Re: "Neat" Pictures
I remember seeing that picture and thinking it was perfect. I recall reading that MacMurray was CC Beck's model for the big red cheese. I was just thrilled that someone referenced it
Re: The Guardians Project - Lets build the original Champions
I think we're going to have to abandon trying to do the characters on starting points. :-/
Re: Automobiles of the Pulp Era
Certainly does resemble her. IIRC, Bessie was a kit car of an Edwardian roadster made by SIVA ltd. and was actually borrowed for the show.
Re: "Neat" Pictures
My "thrift store treasures" usually involve locating black dress shirts still in the original packaging. I'm kind of monochromatic.
Re: Automobiles of the Pulp Era
You're very welcome. This research brought the Delahaye to my attention.
The 1925 Delahaye Tourer
The 1935 Delahaye 135 Cabriolet
The 1939 Delahaye 165 Figoni et Falaschi
If these are not the cars of a wealthy crimefighter, I don't know what possibly could be.
Re: The Guardians Project - Lets build the original Champions
Yes. Much thanks. I vaguely recall wondering if Force was the battle suit. This one may remain an unknown quantity without direct input from the creators.
Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...
Certainly. If you can lay your hands on a copy of "Adventurers Club" #5 there was a conversion from Marvel to Hero that served me pretty well when I was looking for quick and dirty number. Here is the essence of the chart:
Feeble: 0-3 active pts
Poor: 4-7 active pts
Typical: 8-12 active pts
Good: 13-16 active pts
Excellent: 17-23 active pts
Remarkable: 24-37 active pts
Incredible: 38-47 active pts
Amazing: 48-53 active pts
Monstrous: 54-58 active pts
Unearthly: 59-68 active pts
Shift X: 69-78 active pts
Shift Y: 79-88 active pts
Shift Z: 89-98 active pts
Class 1000: 99-128 active pts
Class 3000: 129-158 active pts
Class 5000: 159-200 active pts
These numbers do not take into account the addition of Advantages and Limitations.

Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group...
TSR's Marvel Super Heroes. The stats were rated from Feeble to Unearthly. Later, a range of numerical values were added to the words to provide a range within the value.
Re: The Guardians Project - Lets build the original Champions
I'm pretty sure they co-opted all of the bird names. Kestrel, Condor, and Swan, There was probably an Elf Owl and a Nightjar in there somewhere.
