  1. I just type ; ) (without the space) and it put in a smiley. Sunglasses should be OAF. Found the min 10 point requirement on martial arts mentioned above, but I haven't seen any minimum on teleport in 5th edition. It should probably have the -1/4 must pass through intervening space limitation. Since it's a trigger, you can probably pay END and have it work even if you're unconscious... once. (until reset again) The +2 with single attack skill has to be defined as to which single attack it works with. If you're 3 feet tall, you should probably have 1 level shrinking, 0 END persistent, inherent, always on. If you don't want gestures while flying, why not incantations?
  2. Well, not worst for me, but still an interesting episode. High level D&D, GM is running an 'Escape from the 9 Hells' scenario. New guy to the group is playing a Ranger. For some reason he's away from the group, and runs into Tiamat, the Dragon goddess and lord of the 1st plane of Hell. She tells him she needs an agent to retrieve some gems and deliver them farther down, and someone in the party will be Geased to do it, or she'll just kill us all. He declines, and instead points out the party Sorcerer (currently wearing an artifact treasure that makes him Chaotic Evil). Tiamat repeats the offer, telepathically, and the sorcerer accepts. We eventually manage to get the gems... and the Ranger suddenly tries to take them away from the sorcerer. The geased, CE, and rather annoyed sorcerer promptly attacks the Ranger, who is quickly defeated. The Ranger's player complained that he was attacked for no reason, and wonders why no one else helped him keep the gems... despite the fact that his character KNEW the sorcerer was geased (the rest of us knew too, but our characters only knew the mission, not the geas) and all the rest of us had agreed ahead of time that doing the mission would be the smart thing to do. No one else agreed with his reasoning, and I don't think he came back again after that...
  3. Re: Character check ECs are mostly for when you want to use every power at the same time... since the healing is extra time and no other actions, it only really works if you're doing the flash and the EB at the same time. If you're doing that, you might try taking them out of the EC and using 'linked', although I'd expect the GM to start introducing lots of flash defense before long . Also there's something wrong with the EC costs... for a 36 point EC, the active costs of the slots must all be at least 36, you've got two 30s. I wouldn't allow no KB on flash, it's inherently no KB. The 'stops working if mentalist is stunned' on the pool costs is questionable... it has to apply to all the powers, you've only got flight and TK that might be constant powers, but they turn off when you're stunned anyway. Gestures and incantations are more traditional magic limitations. Your STUN seems rather low, and with low defenses a solid 8 DC hit could probably drop you.
  4. Incantations on the EC and multipower? Gadget suit? Fission stuff... where's the radiation damage shield? Polarized Lenses, not polorized... (/me runs)
  5. Re: Character for review - Shiori Any zero-phase or half-phase action (for instance, she can only half-move, and she can't move and attack... I haven't decided if that means no move by/through, not that I can see her trying one). The only exceptions being recovery from stun and taking recoveries, since they don't really require any action on the character's part. Whee... tomorrow's GM cancelled, so I get to run my game weeks earlier than I expected to .
  6. Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Character for review - Shiori As DSIMON already noticed, I sold back base characteristics and bought characteristics as powers with limitations. It just didn't show up very clearly in the export template. (Also, it might be -21 for SPD... Hero Designer drops the fraction when selling SPD back) She's got 3 SPD limited to only half actions (I figure it'd be too much to also give a limitation on movement although she's limited to half-moves...) 6 base PRE, she's not a leader, or charismatic, and it's hard to tell if she's brave or just oblivious to danger... with +20 defensive PRE because she is oblivious to danger. The only presence attacks Shiori is likely to make would be after not noticing someone's best ranged attack...
  7. Re: Re: Re: Re: Character for review - Shiori Heh, that'll teach me to assume I knew what Intelligence meant . Lowered Int to 8 and used the points to buy most of the int skills back up. Got anything else to teach me today?
  8. Re: Re: Character for review - Shiori Just because she's very slow and scatterbrained doesn't mean she's below average intelligence, although 18 might be a bit high. It could be she's just got so much to think about she wanders off topic easily . In the anime she shows up as a hospital nurse, if a little confused about her patients. Anyways, not that I could track down much of an origin, the girls all seem to have customized power armor... someone's got to have modified it, and in my opinion, no one else would have the patience to do it for her. (Apparently she was part of a villain team in the video game, but doesn't particularly associate with them in the anime.)
  9. The local Champions guru has been too busy to run a game since the BBB, so I've been volunteered to make a quick game for the group. Character is based on 350 points, 60 AP cap, 30 AP defenses... Shiori "the slow" is patterned on the anime "Galaxy Fraulein Yuna" Comments, criticism welcome... I've used a number of (to me) complex power constructs that I'm not totally sure of.
