  1. How's this?

PRIMUS has decided to form superhero teams at some of its bases and Las Vegas is one of them. The heroes are members of that team. Guardian, an armored hero, leads the team. Warder, a female mage, is another member. Warder's accompanied by her familiar, Amber, a Western Screech Owl.

The team has two bases, PRIMUS Las Vegas and, with their permission, Warder's mansion. Like all mage's houses, it's bigger on the inside than the outside. It's also haunted and has gates to alternate realities.

Aside from their housekeeper, the support staff consists of PRIMUS personal.

  2. I just came up with this idea.

Batman's in the Batmobile, probably on patrol, when a portal opens up in front of him and he's sucked through it to a city, in an alternate reality, that has its own hero team.

    What does he do?

  3. Actually, Batman has no control over the Slayers or their teams. The Slayers in the United States are sanctioned by PRIMUS and may be wearing the same armor PRIMUS intelligence agents do.

Since there are, I'm guessing, around 1,000 Slayers in the United States, they can call on other Slayers, or even PRIMUS itself, for help in dealing with a major vamp.

The campaign I want to run has Batman forming a team of novice heroes, that he will train, to protect Gotham if something happens to him.

The team has its own Batcave, which is based on the old Wayne Foundation Batcave, and its own support staff (possibly a nurse and an engineer) but relies on Batman for some of its gear. I'd like their cave to have an extention into an alternate reality. Would this be reasonable? Would it also be possible for PRIMUS to talk Batman into assigning a liaison to the new team? Said liaison could, among other things, help train them.

  4. Found two good stories with Cordelia in them on the net.

The first, set second season, has Spike with a soul (he caught the curse meant for Angelus), Angelus and Dru are the local vampire leaders, Cordy as the Slayer, Wesley is her Watcher, Oz is her boyfriend (they know he's a werewolf) and Amy's a witch and Spike's beloved. As far as Buffy, Giles, Willow and Xander go, they were killed by the Master. I don't remember the name, but it was a crossowver with Blade on slayerette.org. Last I looked, their fanfiction section was down.

The other, set first season is Chosen Ones by FantasyChick. Buffy, her mother, Joyce, Cordy, and her mother, Sandra, are all decended from the same Southern Greek Amazon tribe Gabrielle was queen of. Faith is the Slayer. Giles is her Watcher. Xander and Willow are there, too. This one is at fanfiction.net

  5. Good points, BlackSword.

Batman would've known, possibly from a news release, that PRIMUS was building an office in Gotham City before they contacted him. He would also have known that, besides Gotham City, PRIMUS Gotham's area would include the areas of Delaware and New Jersey that other PRIMUS offices don't cover.

Also, Mariko strongly believes in working with local heroes, not fighting them. When she meets anyone she's not fighting, Mariko's always, possibly as a result of her upbringing, polite.

One last question I forgot to add: How does Batman react to the news about vampires, Gotham's hellmouth, and the team that deals with such things?

  6. How does this sound to all of you?

We're post season seven on Buffy. The Slayers in the United States, with the knowledge of the Trismegistus Council, are working with the federal government. Those not working with Initiative teams are working under PRIMUS's authority. Some stay at hotspots, like Hellmouths, including Gotham's, in Sommerset Township. Others patrol a certain area of the country. Police, medical examiners, crime labs and superheroes, including Batman, the authorities trust are aware of them and how to deal with them.

Gotham City has a PRIMUS base. It's Silver Avenger, Mariko Namura, has met Batman and thinks highly of him.

The two meet, she explains that PRIMUS is creating superhero teams in various cities, and asks him to run Gotham's team.

How does he react to PRIMUS creating a team in Gotham?

Is he willing to lead it?

  7. I don't have a link to post, but I'll tell you how to get there.

    1) Using your favorite search engine, go to The Stuff Heroes Are Made Of.

    2) Click on Web Directory.

    3) Click on Star Hero.

    4) Scroll down the list and you'll find the Star Wars conversion.

  8. I had the book, but I don't anymore.

I like to use a mage's house as a headquarters, and always add gates to alternate realities. Some lead to whole universes and some to pocket universes.

One pocket universe is an unoccupied chapel and the rooms behind it.

  9. Oops. The third paragraph in the above posting should read: In another fanfiction crossover story, with West Wing, Giles realizing that any woman with the postential to become a Slayer would, stated that there are between 3,000 and 5,000 Slayers worldwide.

As far as the earthquake goes, yes, there was one. However, outside of the school, only glass shattered. Inside the school, everything breakable broke, the doors fell out of their frames and a lot of stuff was knocked over.

If you want a sappy ending, Spike regains his humanity and marries Buffy, Anya becomes human again and marries Xander, who never lost an eye.

  10. Why do I always forget things? When I was describing my idea, I forgot to add that each hotspot, including the Hellmouths, would have their own Slayer and her team.

My interest in using Sunnydale as a campaign setting comes from the story Rainbow Over Sunnydale, which is a crossover between the Buffyverse and the Jack Ryan universe. It can be found at fanfiction.net.

In another fanfiction crossover story, Giles, realizing that since woman with the potential to become a Slayer became one, there are now between 3,000 and 5,000 Slayers worldwide.

It would also be possible, in a superhero world, for a mage to cast a spell that would permit the Chinese Slayer to read, write, or speak fluently in any language.

  12. Good question Chuckg.

I'm sure they did. With maybe 4,000 slayers in the world, there are probably two or three in each state. The Secret Service, FBI, PRIMUS and the DOSPA may have a few on their payroll. The revamped Initiative probably has a Slayer with each team, too.

On the international scene, UNTIL probably knows about them, as do foreign governments. Some probably even have either Slayers or military vamp-hunting teams on their payroll.

  13. How's this? PRIMUS and the DOSPA, and, probably other federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies, know about vampires and Hellmouths, but, unless asked for help, only share intel with the Slayers and the Trismegistus Council. Superheroes generally also share intel and get involved only when asked.

The Millennium City Vamp-hunting team consists of a Slayer, her mother, who taught her martial arts, her Watcher, a researcher, who, like Giles, doesn't like computers, a computer expert and a sorceress.

  14. Hi all,

It's been established, in the Buffyverse that there is more than one Hellmouth and a large number of Slayers. Buffy and Giles are guarding Cleveland's Hellmouth.

While the Council of Watchers existed, the Trismegistus Council acted as allies. Now, the Trismegistus Council is the Council of Watchers.

Would they assign one or more Slayer(s) to each Hellmouth and assign each to a specific region of the world?

Assuming that the Millennium City area has a Hellmouth, how many Slayers would be there? How many other associates would she/they have? What would their abilities be? How much aid could they expect from the other superheroes? From other federal agencies?

    Yours,

    Mark Rand
