  1. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

Holy cats. D-Man is responding to every post on the thread. 165 pages at 15 posts a page...

    ...um...carry the two...

    Over 2400 posts!

You could have just looked in the upper right hand corner of the last post. It tells you what number post in the thread you're at. :)

I was supposed to get a permanent crown in my tooth today. Guess what? The crown they made wasn't done correctly, so they had to put in another temporary crown. This means I was in the dentist's chair longer and experienced more pain. :thumbdown:mad:

At least I wasn't charged for this visit.

    That sucks.

You should've keyed his car on the way out.

Sadly' date=' it doesn't work that way. Being homeless and hungry sucks even when immortal, plus now I have a wife, and I'm sure you know how expensive [i']those[/i] are.

Depends on the wife, I guess. :)

Is it my imagination, or does everyone forget that this isn't an all boys club? lol

I'm sorry to hear the Mister Death. I'll be sure to include your mother-in-law in my prayers tonight.

Also, please don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion if need be.

Actually, he should ask for one as a matter of course. :)

We'll keep your family in our thoughts, misterdeath.

  5. Re: Nemesis

Just out of curiousity, does Nemesis have a trademark signature that she leaves behind at the scene of a well-deserved butt-kicking (you know, like the little Scales of Justice models that the DC Comics Nemesis left behind wherever he'd done his job)?

    Major Tom

Never heard of the character. :) I was debating on having her leave a signature, but I was thinking more along the lines of something akin to a charm in the shape of the scales of justice. I'm not sure.

  6. Re: The Harbinger of Justice Thread

I don't know if this is an appropriate question or not, but there's no harm in asking, right? :)

Any chance of seeing an early write up of him? I'm thinking it might give me some ideas for my Nemesis character. We're ordering DC through Kara's comic shop because we get a killer discount from them, but I'd like to have Nemesis done before then.

  7. Re: A Thread for Random Musings

Peculiar situation. Power went out yesterday about five. At about 11:00, the small light we had on in the bedroom flickered on. We tried the computer and sure enough, we had power. Or so we thought.

When we got up this morning, only our bedroom, Erin's room and the bathroom had power. The rest of the house didn't, and doesn't. The circuit breakers seem to all be in the right position, so we're befuddled.

  8. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

A couple of months ago, Kara beat Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance on our PS2. She's found the invulnerability cheat code and has decided to play the game again so she can have the elven sorceress run around in what Kara calls "Supergirl mode." This, of course, enables Kara to have the character running around with no clothes or armor on.

Of course, she's giggling like crazy as she's mowing down the drow with her mostly naked character.

Does this strike anyone else as just more than a little odd?

If I ever get my hands on whoever sent the virus that is slowing my computer's download speed from 3 megs down to slower than 56k, I will slowly, over the course of months, beat him or her to death.

Same goes for whoever's responsible for sandboxer.com.

  10. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER

Well, after running anti-virus three times, Ad Aware twice, as well as doing every diagnostic/clean up in the Norton SystemWorks package, I think I finally have the computer up to par. At least the pop ups aren't appearing every time I try to open a program, and I'm at somewhat normal speed.

I'm not trying the e-mail until our computer expert friend comes over tomorrow evening and takes a look at it.

Amazing the kind of service you can get for the cost of a home cooked meal. :)
