Ndreare
I am introducing a new group to hero and showed them the table on page 20 for scale. It never occurred to me that there is no numerical values relative to the scale adjectives on the table. Obviously the new player noticed instantly and asked me "So what in average" and I told him from 5-8, What is notable. I said from 9 to 13. But I have no clue where those numbers came from in my head. Anyone know if those ranges are given values in a printed book? If so what page, Dan is very much a "show me" type person. Christopher R Taylor
Anyone know if those ranges are given values in a printed book? If so what page, Dan is very much a "show me" type person. Yes, same page, above the table. Its not exactly the clearest possible way of putting things but under the heading CHARACTERISTIC COMPARISONS it has the ranges, such as: Quote Weak: Usually represents infants, extremely aged people, those with severe infirmities, and the like. Typically less than one quarter of the Base Value. Its that end sentence that describes the range: for a base 10 stat like EGO, its around 2-3. For a base 20 stat like STN its 5. Each range is given a fraction value of that sort, so you can use it on every stat, no matter the value. Christopher R Taylor
I think it would have helped to make the connection a bit more clear, maybe some grayed out fraction symbols under each heading or something.
