Metaphor
I apologize if this has been asked and answered, but I can't find anything that directly addresses my question. In the HERO Designer, I'm buying a Skill Level for the group "All Intellect Skills", but when it's added, the skills based on INT do not change to reflect the addition of the skill level. Am I doing something wrong or is this somehow the expected behavior of the application? I'm on the Skills tab and just double click Skill Levels and add a skill named +1 with all Intellect Skills or whatever. No matter what, it will not change the roll for INT skills. What am I doing incorrectly? -M Edited March 19 by Metaphor
Simon
That is the intended behavior and how Skill Levels work -- they are applied at game time, not during character creation.
Metaphor
Perfect, thank you. It was driving me insane! My hope is that Foundry VTT running the HERO System (Unofficial) V2 module that when I import the HDC file that it will do so in a way that will add them to the roll calculation, but of course that isn't your problem! Thank you so much for the quick reply. -M
Gauntlet
Skill levels only apply to the individual roll of one of the skills during a phase. Should you have a bonus to INT Skills, you would only use it during the phase for one of your skills. So if you are using for both say Shadowing and Lipreading and you have 2 skill levels with all INT Skills, you would either have to give both to one individual skill or split them between the two. So just because you have INT Skill Levels and are using an INT Skill does not mean that you are utilizing the skill levels for that individual skill.
