Cancer
Re: The Last Word I find that apple variety is less important than freshness. Even the usually bland, mushy Delicious apple is delightful if it's been less than a week since it was picked. Happily, we can get those, in season, since my folks live in the Yakima Valley. Cancer
Re: The Last Word That one made the papers here, but I have avoided that thread. "Special Hell" indeed. But my reaction is to give the guy a good extended taste of what he'll get once he's there.

AliceTheOwl
Re: The Last Word Fixed your typo. Well, if I needed my computer for the graphics, yeah. But all I REALLY need is a word processing program. And Spider Solitaire . . .

AliceTheOwl
Re: The Last Word Um . . . OS doesn't matter. I just need to open a blank white page, to type, and then to save what I've typed. No lag between hitting a key on the keyboard and its appearance on that virgin white field, just, it appears as I bang it out, and it stays there after I tell it to save. If it saves for me, all the better.

Probably OpenOffice, but he may have gone for something a little faster. I really like OO, but occasionally it's a bit slow.
