Soul Sucking...other options.

I was curious about doing a soul sucking sword. Now I could go for the typical drain/boost. But, HERO gives me so many other options. I would love a VPP of skills that reflect the stored memories of my last victim. Or perhaps picking up their psyce lims, etc.

 

Any suggestions for a good power mixture that would be typical for a soul sucking sword!

Hmm... well, other than using a Drain on the target, you could keep the damage restricted to regular Killing Damage, and use Aid for the wielder of the sword Limited to "only as many points as the victim of the KA takes BODY" - probably a -1/2 Lim.

 

If you were using a VPP for Skills, perhaps the Aid/Transfer/whatever mechanism could feed points directly to the VPP, reflecting the increased knowledge that the wielder of the soul-sucker gained from his victim. One of the Powers involved in this process could have a Side Effect which results in the wielder of the sword gaining his opponent's Psych Lims... either through a Transform, or the SE actually being Psych Lims tallying up to the desired point value.

Forgive me for asking what may be an obvious question, but what exactly does the suckage of the soul do?
