etherio
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images Here's a version that has a different color finishing technique...looks a little more like an animation cel to me. Let me kow which one you prefer and why.
Publius
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images The figure on the right has more vibrant color. The shadows are better with deeper tones. I like the bow from the one on the left though for some reason, but since it is the only thing that I do like better I'd go with the right for personal preference. Now, I am fully aware that there are times when the more vibrant color is NOT the right choice, so when I say 'preference' it is more of a personal thing than any 'right' or 'wrong' way. etherio
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images Thanks for the feedback, Publius. Here's Marvel's Spiderwoman (the cool older one, not that lame one with the black-and-white costume).

Chimpira
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images I did some work a little bit back in an animated style. It was supposed to be a pulp inspired adventure. Nothing in color and I hope that I am posting this right. Oh, Well in any case please be kind. This was the hero of the story, Zachary Dane. Chimpira
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images Mad Jack was a cross between Batman and the Shadow. He was Twilight Harbors' main defender. He was also secretly Zacharys' Godfather.

Chimpira
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images What is there about a brain in a jar that is so cool. Maybe I have watched too many Steve Martin movies. At any rate this is another main villian the weapon designer Dr. Mayfair. and his lovely assistants Mandy and Sandy. Chimpira
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images I knew I was going to make these people villians but I was going to have them become more sympathetic and help out the heroes every so often. etherio
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images Unbelievably cool stuff...you should be proud. I, too, especially like Dr. Mayfair. That is a supercool pulp-science character...a villain, I'm guessing?
Chimpira
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images Glad you guys liked them. Yeah, Dr. Mayfair was my mad scientist type. Here are a couple more villians. The Bishop was my behind the scenes mastermind and the main villian of the story. Douglas Ash was the ruler of Arcadia, my savage land rip off. Ash was an old friend of Zacharys' dad that was driven insane by his quest for immortality. Zacharys' father beat him by dropping a mountain on him. (He blew it up with explosives while they battled beneath it) Now Ash is driven to lash out at Zachary.
Chimpira
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images And from Arcadia, we have Sorsha, the jungle girl. She was like a blend of Tarzan and Sheena. I designed a dinosaur as well. I kind of wanted it to look dangerous.

Let's keep the thread going, though. I'd like to see some of your "animated series"-style takes on Champions Universe characters or interesting comics industry characters that we're not likely to find in other forums. For purely personal, selfish reasons, anyone who wants to upload their Champions artwork to this web site, and link to them from this thread, may do so. http://www.blackgate.net/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=HeroicArtwork Don't go crazy with it (try to keep the images under 100k, if you can),and don't post porn (I like porn as much as the next person, but it sucks bandwidth like nobody's business). Chimpira
Re: Animated Series Style Character Images Ok. Some people I talked to did not know what the pulp era was and wanted to see a more modern type of hero. These are the drawings that came from that. first is the new Zach.
