Re: Drinking contest

I'd probably base it on CON rolls -- one drink per pt of CON' date=' then you start making CON rolls (maybe at a cumulative -1) for each drink thereafter to avoid passing out.[/quote']

Beer: 1d6 EB, NND (vs Immunity to Alcohol), No Range, Must be Ingested, Must Be Served by Busty Bar-Wench, PLUS 1d6 CON Suppress, Cum 1 Hour Continuing Charge, Blocked by Immunity to Alcohol

Effects:

Each beer does a small NND attack (this is good because it actually uses the LS game mechanic...might as well use it since its there).

The CON suppress reflects the way drinks can sneak up on ya. You are going along fine drinking and next thing you know...WHAM. You are good and liquored up. The 1 Continuing Charge is how long it would take your body to metabolise 1 drink (1 hour).

The only problem left is the effects of drunkenness. Maybe either hand wave it and say "These are the effects of bein a lush" or use a small minor transform (sober to drunk). 'Course, then think of all the fun disads (Cheap Date - Vuln: x2 Effect from Alcohol).

Characteristic Roll Penalties (-1 per drink) for: DEX, INT, EGO

DamRedux vs PD, ED and MD, for STUN only (graduate it, 25% after 2 drinks/50% after 4 etc)

Suppress Need to Excrete (Once you break the seal.....) [ok, that IS kind of silly]

Course this is kind of the Hero way. You COULD just have each character make a CON roll and whoever makes it by the most wins and you jsut roleplay the rest.

Re: Drinking contest

I can't help but think that BODY should also play a roll with CON. Larger humans are often represented with more BODY. Larger humans usually take more alcohol to get drunk.

At a rough guess...

Drinking Cumulative 1/2 d6 NND (defence is a CON roll -1 per unit of alcohol or alcohol immunity) major transform to beer monster heals at 2 points per hour

That should account for CON and BODY, and making out the effects of DEX/INT drain, and the various psychological limitations of drunkenness is a nightmare, so even though it is a bit twinky, transform is the way to go.
