Everybody Must Get Stoned

Is it possible in Fh to build a "Flesh to Stone" spell that is either reviersible (you can use a spell to restore the victim to living fhesh with his soul intact, rather than truning the statue into a corpse) or reverses itself after a given period of time?

(The latter effect would enable a mage to cast the spell on HIMSELF and come out of it, say, a hundred years later).

A Major Transform is supposed to have defined an identifiable means of reversing the effect, if I recall correctly, and if the target is a character they can "heal" the Transform effect at the same rate as normal BODY healing. There's no reason why you couldn't define the reversal means as "X amount of time passes".

As far as your magician is concerned, I would think that it would also require LS:Longevity as well, to be in effect as long as the Transform is active.

Re: Everybody Must Get Stoned

If you want the Flesh To Stone to "wear off" over time, then just let them heal the BODY from the Transform Attack normally. It should take, what, about three-four months? So, say "heals back normally or by another application of this spell" or whichever spell you want to reverse it. Since it's defined in the Flesh To Stone Transform as the counterspell, it is automatically successful. If you don't want the counterspell to be automatic, just leave it off.
