Re: WWYCD: Sleeping With The Enemy

As Meta already did the Sentinels reply...

After Nox got over her complete embarressment, she'd definitely call the rest of the team. There's no way a member of her team would do something like this unless mind controled/coerced. (Two with fiances, one's the dedicated Batman type, the other one might sleep with a villian, but he'd never meet anyone by the personals and he'd stop if he found out she was a villian, and if it was Nox... Nox has an (unstatted) complete devotion to the heroic code.)

Omen: Wouldn't care either way, but she also wouldn't let it stop her if she had to bring the villian down.

Chaos: Would shake her head and have a serious talk with her team mate later. She wouldn't be bothered by the relationship so much as by the team mate keeping such a secret and asking the rest of the team for help in rehabilitating the villian. Of course, of he/she is a particular bad villian, she'd have to take measures to bring them in.

Regret: Wouldn't care much, but would make certain her team mate wasn't mind controlled in any way. She's been through such a thing once already. She'd also make certain the villian and team mate were, indeed, who they are supposed to be. She's been through that, too...

Come to think of it, Regret would take the safest course, knock them both out, and let the rest of the team sort it out.

BLUES:

If his eyes hadn't been replaced with a Cybervisor, he'd be rubbing them irritatedly. "Wildcard ... we haven't known each other long, but I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt. But if this backfires, there's going to be Hell to pay and it's going on YOUR credit card. Are we clear?"

Re: WWYCD: Sleeping With The Enemy

(for once I'm doing one that has nothing to do with demons...;))

Advisory: Some adult themes, may not be appropriate for all players, characters, and/or campaign settings.

It's one of those rare slow days, so with nothing better to do, you stop by to visit with one of your teammates. When you ring the doorbell, he/she comes to the door in a bathrobe and an embarressed/guilty expression on his/her face. As he/she tells you this wasn't a good time to drop by, you glance over his/her shoulder and see- much to your shock- the costume of a superhuman you and the group consider an adversary (pick someone of the appropriate gender and sexual orientation) on the couch. After an awkward silience, your friend confesses that the individual in question is in the bedroom asleep and begins telling you the whole sordid tale:

The two of them met on a personals website in Secret ID, and after afew face to face dates, got into an *ahem* "intimate relationship." Only recently did each find out who the other was, and though the fact that they were on opposing sides of law/morality was awkward, they continued seeing each other (yes, the sex was THAT good). Rightly or wrongly so, your colleague sinerely believes he/she can persaude his/her new bedpartner to change sides. WWYCD?

Hmm, most of my characters don't have teams, but the ones that do:

Defiant It would depend on the villain's crimes. Terrorism or murder would get Defiant saying "Yeah, that's nice. Better find yourself a new bed buddy, because the scum wads going down." otherwise, he might shrug, "Fine, but if I catch el scummo doing a crime, there's still going to be a bullet in said person's dairy-air."

Gaze 'Be wary, Apex, Often those who seek to bring others into the light become tainted by darkness.' all the time thinking ("#$#, he's got good taste.")

Hiro Phelps a.k.a. "Umbrella Lad" would immediately move to kick the spit out of the villain. If stopped, or talked down from it... "The second it interferes with work... the VERY MOMENT... it's over. Period. That's not 'advice', it's an order." Then keep both under surveilance until it comes to a head, one way or another.

Hiro is the team leader, and likes to maintain an orderly working environment.

Shadow would never approach anyone in their home without knowing who and what has been coming in and out of it. She'd observe from concealment, wait for an opportune moment to incapacitate the criminal, then restrain her and deliver her to the proper authorities.

No, she doesn't see the irony of it all.

Apex would have already read everyone's mind and would either leave it be until it became a problem, or forseen imminent tragedy, put the parties involved to sleep, and locked up the criminal.

His perspective, as a citizen of an enlightened future society of telepathic supermen, is somewhat... detatched.

Blackberry S. Firr would drop off the bag of cookies she was delivering, and leave to consider things. She's open-minded and politically liberal, but personally conservative, so being confronted with evidence that her friend was having sex outside of marriage... well now.

She's a pretty discerning judge of character though, so anyone who qualifies as a "close friend" gets the benefit of her faith in their judgment. She's also quite protective, so after grilling her friend to make sure that there was a relationship based on more than merely sex, she'd settle down to important things, like whether the couple liked the cookies she baked.

She'd leave it at that unless more disturbing incidents cropped up.

Re: WWYCD: Sleeping With The Enemy

Something like this happened in a campagine I was GM'ing. Breakout from Stronghold. Female PC saw Shamrock in his tightie whities (no way was he going to wear the issued orange jumpsuit, "the Devil's own color"), and became smitten. He didn't get away that time, but this lead to a mondo bizarro prison break, with Shamrock being supoenaed to Boston for the trial of an IRA terrorist when he had already said that he was not saying a word. He was placed in a holding cell under the courthouse, and the two guards walked away without closing, much less locking, the door. Strangely, the prosicutor who supoenaed Shamrock, the Judge that signed the supoena, and the guards who put him in the cell all claim to have absolutely no memory of these events.

OK, in the circumstances given:

Millennium greatly believes in the power of redemption, that people can, and do, change. Will ask teemmate if they mind if he does a quick telepathic check for mind control, then wish them well.

Iron Will. "Way To Much Information, thank you very much! Could have stoped after 'Not a good time, catch you later!'" Will is 13 years old, quadroplegic, and does not understand sexuality. Wonders if this may be a huge practical joke.

Cheetah is a jerk. "So you got her in the sack, and then when it's over, you can arrest her? Best. Breakup. Ever! Way to go, my Brother!"

Snow Leopard "Humm, I had never thought of our battles as a way to meet a Significant Other, but I can see it would give you something in common if you were both in The Business. Relationships with civilians certainly don't work. Maybe I should keep my eyes open." (Snow Leopard, the daughter or Wolverine and Storm, is accutely aware that her life expectancy is over 200 years. Everyone she knows is either a short-lifer (no life support), immortal (life support, immortal), or related by blood.

Dolphin. "Kwel!"
