prestidigitator
Re: Compound Power or HtH Attack? Just to clarify' date=' is buying damage shield as a naked modifier on Strength legal? Since strength is not an attack power it does not qualify for the advantage as it is written. If this is the case then the NM would be a moo point.[/quote'] Well, Str bought as a Power might qualify as an Attack Power.... Eh.... Zed-F
Re: Compound Power or HtH Attack? In general, I prefer people to buy an HA and apply the advantage to the HA. Naked advantages can sometimes get wonky. However, sometimes they are the only way to make something work. In this instance, I would not accept the naked Damage Shield build and require a trigger- or damage shield HA.
bigdamnhero
Re: Compound Power or HtH Attack? Actually, that is the current rule in 5ER (and 5E) page 408. -the character can only use his STR up to the unmodified Active Point value of the HA "Unmodified" means the Active Points without applying any Advantages. HM Ah, thank you. I didn't have the book in front of me, so I assumed that was one of those rules they changed, I never noticed, and have been playing it "wrong" for the last edition or two. bigdamnhero "Hey!
