BobGreenwade
This may have been discussed already, but I only just found out about it last week. I think it's pretty darn fascinating. It makes certain sci-fi (and superhero) characters seem a little less far-fetched. My blog article
Kirby
Re: So what if it costs an arm and a leg? Fantasticly interesting! I do wonder why they didn't mention a time frame. Perhaps if it took a day to grow something back for a mouse, they didn't want to say it would take a day fror a human.
BobGreenwade
Re: So what if it costs an arm and a leg? Good point... my own estimation is that it would probably take about a week to a month to grow back a whole limb. And now one of the scientific journals I get here at "work" reports that the regeneration of brain tissue may be possible after all... and another blog tells me that brain transplants may be possible in the foreseeable future (I have yet to verify this). So who knows?
Dr Archeville
Re: So what if it costs an arm and a leg? So, how long 'till we get Lizard-Mice swarming New York?
BobGreenwade
Re: So what if it costs an arm and a leg? I'd give that about 125 years, tops.

Blue Jogger
Re: So what if it costs an arm and a leg? Purely as a game idea, it would be interesting to see "regenerating dumb soldier". They aren't very intelligent (brains never developed fully because they regenerate and lose long-term memory). "Go get 'em guys!"
