Basil
Re: Comedy Pulp ideas and resources Almost any of the old Abbott and Costello movies would probably work' date=' as would Crosby & Hope "Road" flicks.[/quote']Also Chaplin, Keaton, Lloyd, and others of the period. I'd also recommend Murder By Death (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074937/) for parodies of a number of Pulp(ish) Era movie detectives. Also, it features one of Alec Guinness's most astonishing performances at the end.

Michael Hopcroft
Re: Comedy Pulp ideas and resources Speaking of which - I highly recommend The Ladykillers. The original' date=' of course.[/quote'] Although the setting is a little bit earlier, Kind Hearts and Coronets is a superb comic take on a diabolcially charming master villain murdering his way to a peerage. "I shot an arrow into the air -- she came to Earth at Leicster Square." And The Captain's Paradise can also give you soem good ideas. Guiness plays a merchant captain juggling two wives in two different ports -- a nifty comic hook for globe-trotting adventurers (who are often notorious womanizers anyway). Reversing the gender role, by having a female adventuress juggling mutliple husbands all over the world, would also be very amusing.
