Foxx!
Heroes! What do you think about a Follower’s having Perks? Example Shy Devil Maid Hizumi Who Killed Her Boyfriend is a powerful Character. Her master is a detective-wannabe who travels the world searching for adventure, but he is a Follower. He has Unlimited Wealth and many Contacts and Skills. He does brain work like interaction, computer hacking, deduction; and Hizumi does physical work like making tea, punching faces, kicking down walls, and so on. Cheers! Dust Raven
Re: Follower's Perks I think all Followers should have Perks. Why else would you want them as a follower? Really, nothing beats having some rich old guy with nothing to do but spend money as your loyal ally.
Vondy
Re: Follower's Perks I would probably propose that a follower who is primarily intended to be a facilitator be purchased as: Contact: Mr. Perkins (Contact has access to major institutions, Contact has extremely useful Skills or resources, Contact has significant Contacts of his own, Contact is slavishly loyal to character) 20-. Total Cost: 19 Points. It depends if the character is active in the story or a perk reserve. For a Perk Reserve, this route is (probably) cheaper, serves as short hand in the stead of a second character sheet, and, is more secure than a follower in that contacts seldom run the risks a follower does. For a character who is active in the story, then go with follower, perks and all.
prestidigitator
Re: Follower's Perks I think it's great for Followers to have Perks, but as always with Followers you have to be a little careful about how they are used with respect to the PC. Those Perks should not be as effective as if the PC owned them directly. That means the Follower should not be spending all their money on the PC's equipment, the Follower should not simply whip out his/her badge every time the PC needs to get police-level access, etc. Obivously the PC will have some benefit from his/her Follower's Perks, but make sure to remember that those are the Follower's Perks, not the PC's. In any case, if you have the choice of paying X points on your own Perks, or the same X points on a follower that has those Perks, it doesn't really make a difference in the long run. Go with how Mr. Perkins will be portrayed in game.
Foxx!
Re: Follower's Perks Thank you everyone! The two are like partners. They need to be together as characters. Without someone to serve, a maid is just a Goth-Lolita. The player understands that the GM has some control over a Follower. Besides, she has a Psychological Limitation that she doesn't speak with anyone but her master. Cheers!
Sean Waters
Re: Follower's Perks Hey, you could have a power armour hero as a follower, who's getting on a bit and keeps on lending you his power armour to fight crime, factoring in the focus limitation, and maybe independent so you can keep it, that means you can get a really powerful piece of hardware for 1/20th of the cost. Bargain. Hell, if you give the old buffoon enough disadvantages it is practically free AND that has the advantage that he will have very little chance of surviving, so he's never going to ask for his stuff back. Stunning.

Stunning. Don't forget to sell down his stats too. -10 DEX, -10 STR, etc. I mean, he's old right?
