John Desmarais
The Trophy ADS generates something similar to a force field around one half of a vehicle as a direct reaction to incoming fire. http://www.defense-update.com/products/t/trophy.htm Ok, not really a force field, but nifty. Flames
Re: Force Fields anyone? Much closer to Missle Deflection, in my estimation, as it tries to completely intercept an incoming attack rather than just reduce the attack's damage. atlascott
Re: Force Fields anyone? Yeah, Missle Deflection, because either the system intercepts the missle or it doesn't--if it does, no damage, if it doesnt, full damage. Shoot, there's nothing new about missile deflection--we've had that since Wonder Woman! Seriously, though, cool tech!
AmadanNaBriona
Re: Force Fields anyone? [sarcasm On] Wasn't there a huge argument about point defence systems not being "real" examples of missile deflection a short while ago because it actually destroys the attack? [sarcasm Off] Quite cool, and a perfect example of MD in my opinion.

But, Missile deflection is a much simpler way to define it I suppose. ---- That being said, this is nothing like a force field as it implies it projects some "beam of fragments" to intercept the missile. Very cool, but not impressed
Old Man
Re: Force Fields anyone? Ah, but what if the missile is not built as an attack, but as a vehicle? What then?!

Old Man
Re: Force Fields anyone? Or maybe, it's a Summoned Djiin, SPD 12 that Dives For Cover into the missile to intercept it.
