Haven Walkur
C'mon, people, I know you've all seen Unbreakable. I know you've read the Dark Knight graphic novel and paged through Watchmen. You may even have glanced at The Sandman collection. And I know you wouldn't be cruising this forum if the street-level struggle to bring hope out of hopelessness didn't appeal to you down on some shadowy level of your soul. In Arkana City, hell is called the Barrows. Things are bad there, but what's worse is that some Barrows-dwellers consider damnation business as usual. Innocent is another word for victim, and trust is for fools and dead men. Hope is barely a memory. You'd have to be crazy -- or damned yourself -- to try and make a difference down in the Barrows. Wanna give it a try? *** Captain Emu is starting up a Dark Champions on-line game where unremarkable people -- each with one single unlikely ability -- answer the call to bring hope back to the tainted shadows of Arkana City. They're not superheroes, they're not aliens, they're just men and women with one little thing that makes them a bit different...but they're out to change the world, or at least their little corner of it. 200 point characters. Unremarkable people -- with one little twist. Come join us in the shadows at: http://www.vf11.com/captainemu/ If it weren't for the Darkness, we would never recognize the Light. Haven Walkur
Re: Looking for Unremarkable heroes! Sorry to hear that, ghost-angel. Please don't be discouraged. I'll go and have a look at the link and see what the site is doing..
Haven Walkur
Re: Looking for Unremarkable heroes! Here's the problem. When you click the link, it takes you to the forum title page. Then you have to click on the titles for each section, the ones on the gray speckled background between the boxes. There are three title-links: "The Bullpen", "Story and Writing", "Pencils, Inks, Color". You can't click on the thread names directly; well, you can, but it won't do you any good. When you click on the section title of your choice, it will take you to the listed threads and topics. Poke around, have a look, see what you think. Eli -- Captain Emu -- is just starting the game up, but it has a lot of promise. Check out the Map of Arkana City link in the Arkana City thread in Story and Writing. Captain Emu
Re: Looking for Unremarkable heroes! I've logged on several times over the last few days with no problems. I have checked and nothing is wrong in the settings. I'm not sure what the trouble is.

Haven Walkur
Re: Looking for Unremarkable heroes! That's an interesting and unusual character concept, David. Very different from the usual run of Dark Champions PCs. Why don't you post it on the Arkana City game site and see what Captain Emu (the GM) thinks? The link to the site is in the first post on this thread.
