TheRavenIs
Re: WWYCD: Fans and cons Dark Rider: Mystic Cowboy, with a public ID and is still a Texas Ranger. He'd go as he's Regular ID, as the Ranger. Golden: Former LAPD officer that gained he's power on TV, so yeah he'd go, he loves being a public figure. Bear Cat: Only if the Con had adult beverages and adult enterainment.
Amber Nytstar
Re: WWYCD: Fans and cons Luna Moth: If she has the time to do so, she would usually go in her civilian identity and end up leaving about halfway through the con either dragging her 'Moth-crazy' costumed roommate home or heading to a nearby police station to bail the poor girl out. (Who in the meantime is trying to come up with a reasonable explanation as to why her costume is identical to Luna's 'work clothes'.) Luna doesn't mind the fan club, though she can't really approve of it. She does openly condemn the sale of any item bearing her likeness, usually by leaving warning notes, then by altering the merchants' signs. Fan fics is another grey area as far Luna's concerned, as in she wouldn't complain about unless the fic was badly written (in which case the critique would read like a teacher's comments on a paper.) As to all of the fake nude photos on the internet, half of them was posted by Luna Moth herself. The Flying Kittens: Wouldn't be attending. Amused
Re: WWYCD: Fans and cons Gwendolyn- Would probably attend, but thoroughly confused and possibly made uncomfortable by raging fanboys. She wouldn't understand why everyone loved/hated her so much. If she could turn the whole thing into a game, and run around pulling pranks on fans she would adore it. Tamlyn (a char. I have in the works) - Would raise an eyebrow in disbelief, before ignoring the whole matter. She has general disdain for the outpouring of human emotions. Anyone trying to speak with her would be met with a sharp word and a cold shoulder.
AdamLeisemann
Re: WWYCD: Fans and cons Previously, I mentioned cons with Lab Rat... If Reinard had the resources, he'd be bribing convention officials not to invite him. He's on Earth to do a job, not to become popular. And furthermore, he sees fame as one sure way to go down a terrible path. You'll never see a more graphic example of this than having had to take down a publicly drunken Dumbo. Sonic Eagle would be told to go the the con to cover the events. The fact that he's the newspaper's own superhero would make him fit right in. Interveiwing fans of other heroes would be his top priority, and he would do best to let April Lane interveiw the fans of Sonic Eagle, until a supervillain crashes the con, kidnaps April, and it's up to him to savew the day, which would be a blast at the con. Kitsune might attend just for fun and see what particularly geeky humans do when together. She might even join some of the seminars just to learn. Yeah, the Inari shrine she holes up in would be kinda empty, but the preisthood can manage.
Great Beyond
Re: WWYCD: Fans and cons She's got an Official Web-site' date=' course. And some licensed ones are out there. She finds an unlicensed one, she lands like a ton of bricks![/quote'] Funny, I'd have thought that shutting down independent webpages would result in a fan backlash. Remember what happened 10 years ago to Fox when they got heavy handed with fan run Simpsons web pages? They quickly backed off that policy pretty quick. Or is it just a "protect the image" policy? You know, get the p0rnz sites that photoshop Kitty's head on someone else's nude shot and that sort of thing?
Karmakaze
Re: WWYCD: Fans and cons Well, Tammy Millner was an actor who played a superheroine on TV as as teenager. (They saves money on effects by just having her use her abilities on screen, although her powers aren't quite the same as the character she played.) She does the convention circuit as an actor pretty routinely. She does have a Group DNPC of her fans/fanclub. Tammy has a Public ID, for obvious reasons.
