5er Faq Pdf?

Has anyone created a pdf of the FAQ's? While it's easy to search for a specific item, having everything in a document is easier to read and/or print out.

 

IIRC Ghost-Angel was working on something like this.

Hero Games used to maintain PDFs of the original rules FAQ (before much of it was incorporated into 5ER) and the shorter post-revision FAQ on this website. IIRC Derek Hiemforth created and updated them, although he hadn't had a chance to update the newer FAQ for a while even before the website changed.

 

I still have both PDF. They're a little too large to attach here, but if you PM me with an e-mail address I'll be happy to send them to you.

I was. I haven't gotten very far (read: anywhere).

 

It's been a heck of a year for me, projects are moving at a snails pace.

 

It is not forgotten, simply buried. under a ton of rock. like the rest of my life.

I don't really understand why Hero would not maintain these as downloadable files on the website instead of purely a database. Both are useful, but when I asked a while back Dan Simon reacted as if... well, let's just say he was hostile to my request and leave it at that.

Well, I did once ask on the Company Questions forum about the various freebies that were once on the website, but not currently. Darren Watts replied that they were updating and expanding the website as time allows, but indicated that such free items were a lower priority.

Once, they were. In the previous incarnation of the site, the FAQ was in the form of HTML chapter pages that you could save. I have done so and cherish my saves, since I find the ability to read and search the FAQ at my leisure on my own laptop much, much more useful than having to connect to an online database each and every time I want to look up an Hero rule topic. I rather dislike the present form of the FAQ and find it rather lacking as functionality goes in comparison to previous model.
