Where to find info on these groups?

Here is a question about champions villain groups in general.

 

There are some common villain groups and organizations that have detailed write-ups on them, such as VIPER and DEMON, and some that have something of a writeup, such as PSI. These are admittedly common Hunteds for the reason that the GM has a good idea how to run these groups and what their tactics usually are.

 

However, there are also a number of groups that sound like they would be good hunteds, but there is almost nothing on them except a passing mention or a short blurb. I am talking about groups like IHA (mutant hunters) and Argent (weapons/tech suppliers?) Are there more detailed write-ups for groups like PSI, Argent, and IHA somewhere, or are they just left to the GM's digression?

 

Also, what groups that are mentioned in the source material would other people like to see have more detailed write-ups?

Everything we have on PSI is in either Conquerors Killers and Crooks or Millennium City. Between those two you should have plenty of information to get started, at least. The IHA and Argent will be sharing the next Champions organization book, as yet untitled and due out in 2009. dw

At present, the most detailed info about the IHA and ARGENT appears in Champions Universe. Unfortunately it's not a lot - some notes about their operations, a few recommendations for agents, some ARGENT tech, and a full character sheet for a mutant-hunting Minuteman robot. Both agencies are scheduled to appear together in a sourcebook, Profit And Purity, in 2009.

 

OTOH many of the supers of PSI, and their nefarious operations, are detailed in Conquerors, Killers, And Crooks and Millennium City, more than enough to run them in a campaign.

Of course Mind Games isn't canon for the Fifth Edition CU, but it would certainly add more dimensions to PSI. Many of the characters and background events in the two editions of PSI are similar, so they have a high degree of compatibility.

 

Another significant CU villain org, the Circle Of The Scarlet Moon, is substantially more developed in Arcane Adversaries.

 

Like many Champs fans, I would like to see more about the Cult Of The Red Banner; but there's no book likely to deal with it on the current publication schedule through 2009.
