Drhoz
By whatever means seems likely - informant comes to your secret-ID-reporter, you catch some minor henchmen laughing their asses off over an early copy, somebody sent your character an email that wasn't a rickroll... You've got your hands on video (or photo, depending on era ) evidence of two heros in a romantic entanglement. And yes, that's a euphemism. After the initial thought of "Hmm, I didn't know he was that flexible" you realise that one of these people is supposedly in a monogamous relationship with someone who isn't their current co-star. And the cuckolded individual in question is someone with a reputation for anger-management issues and Deadly Force As First Resort. It's possible that other copies of the tape are already circulating. WWYCD? ( and yes, this is based on the Skeleton Crew Sex Tape Scandal involving Vitus, and the tape starring The Spectre, Vitus' concubine 3, one of Vitus' students, and Void, who occasionally teleports into the background and gives a thumbs-up to the camera )
Badger
Re: Video Hits Badger- need some other way for him to get the tape. No Secret ID. ANd even so, would never stoop so low as to be a "scum of the earth" reporter. (yeah, he tends to hate the media) Frosty Bob- "Hey wait, that is me! I wonder if that boyfriend of hers found out about us yet" Ahh, who cares. I'll just keep this for boring nights alone."
Major Tom 2009
Re: Video Hits Heh. I can just see something going on with this tape along the same lines as on a particular episode of Crusade: the one where one of Excalibur's crew got what she thought was an empty data crystal from the ship's xenolinguist, only to find out that it was one of his multi-species porno flicks -- which had everyone who watched it performing the Goren Maneuver. Fluid injected through the catheter selectively closes off the malfunctioning veins, thus enabling the testicular tissues to recover and begin to produce normal sperm in normal amounts. The procedure lasts one to two hours and causes almost no discomfort." Somehow I doubt that's the Goren you're talking about....
Zed-F
Re: Video Hits All characters: if it's got to my character then then there's no stopping the signal; none of my characters would normally be investigating other heroes' private lives. Since the cuckolded individual is going to find out one way or another before long, try to break it to 'em gently, preferably by getting the amorous couple to do the responsible thing and take care of their own messes. In Soulbarb's case, she'd also check for evidence that all may not be as it seems, and react accordingly.

The Goren I'm talking about is the Vincent D'nofrio character on Law and Order: Criminal Intent. His character (Det. Robert Goren) has this little quirk that comes out when he's questioning a suspect in an interrogation room: he bends at the waist between 80 and 90 degrees while cocking his head to look sideways at the questionee. While the response to what the characters in the episode of Crusade were seeing wasn't quite that pronounced, they were tilting their heads almost 90 degrees onto their shoulders trying to get a bet- ter look at the act being depicted -- which the Excalibur's doctor had des- cribed earlier as being physically impossible. As to the medical procedure you included in your post, I hadn't even heard of it until now. Major Tom 2009
