Kenn
In the spirit of the Smooth Criminal and the Wrath of the Ancient Pharaoh threads I've been thinking about a new character... The pharaoh Hatshepsut was a woman but rather than being a queen she actually ruled Egypt as a man. ( http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2009/04/hatshepsut/brown-text.html ) What if she wasn't the only one? What if there had been another one, but with feathered hair, big teeth and bigger breasts? And what if she returns today; the Pharaoh Phaw-Set?
Lord Liaden
Re: Another Egyptian She-King On a more serious note, Jason Walters gave us a very nice rendition of Hatshepsut in his "You Gotta Have Character" article for Digital Hero #15. Although based on her real history, it also adopted her professed half-divine lineage as justification for giving her powers comparable to a Standard Superhero-level character. Around the time that DH 15 came out, our board colleague John Taber posted the following: Hi Everyone, I was surprised to see a write up of Hatshepsut in DH this issues. The reason I was surprised is that I had just used her for a Champions game! The story involved a little girl, Nenet, who touches an Egyptian mummy and gets possessed by our favorite Eqyptian Pharoh. The story is intriguing as the heroes have to save Nenet by taking out Hatshepsut carefully. Fun stuff. Here are the writeups for everyone I used in the story. Attached is a picture I used. ENJOY!
